The defense was shredded by the Jets and Justin Fields yesterday. The Jets had a makeshift offensive line and they had no issue pushing around the Steelers vaunted defense. Given how last season ended, you would have expected the defense to want to make a statement – they didn’t. $158M for a defense means the expectations are high for the entire game, not just the final few moments.
