Poni mentions that kickers are far less important than defensive linemen. Poni says he’ll donate $5 to charity every time someone catches him chewing on his pen. A caller thinks there’s no way Chris Boswell will get any more money this year. Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk joined the show. Mike says that Heyward shouldn’t have signed the contract last year if he wanted to renegotiate his deal after a good season. He also says that Cam would get fined if he were to sit out games this year. Mike says that the Steelers can definitely afford to give Heyward a raise. If Heyward were to retire, the Steelers would be able to get the roster bonus back from him. Mike also says that he has never seen a kicker hold out. Florio says that the Steelers made up rules on contracts are dumb.
