Weidl’s Words – What did Andy Weidl say to the Steelers media today? KDKA TV’s Bob Pompeani joined the show. Bob talked about the process of memorization when it comes to a play-by-play broadcast. He said the big hurdle is multiple guys with multiple numbers in the preseason. Pomp said it takes 4-5 hours to put together his spotter board, including players names, notes, sponsor reads, etc. and the challenges that come along with it. Pomp thinks Aaron Rodgers will get plenty of run in the joint practice today, but wishes Rodgers would play a series or two on Saturday night. The guys asked Bob about the leverage Cam Heyward may have in negotiations and if he is hurting his legacy with the fanbase. Will the Steelers add another WR before the season begins?
