Amateur wine master classes, tastings, his favorite bar ("Bigati bar"), and wine shop ("Drinx") were a significant part of his life as soon as he took off his medical gown and left the hospital. But it was in Almaty that this passion transformed into a profession. Unable to continue working as a doctor legally in Kazakhstan, he took a job as a waiter, like many others, to earn a living.
