In this episode Marc chats to Peter and Henri Greig about the history and development of Pipers Farm, their 52-acre family farm in Devon, discussing their commitment to biodiversity and ethical farming practices, the unique landscape of the Devon hills, and the direct relationships they have forged with their customers and neighbouring farmers. More about today’s guest: Peter & Henri Greig are the founders of Pipers Farm. Pipers Farm was established in 1989, and has since been a destination for meat that is produced sustainably and in harmony with nature. Today the company employs around 50 people from the local area who work across the Butchery, Fulfilment Centre and at Pipers Farm HQ, all based in Devon. The company works directly with 50 small-scale, family farms who produce grass fed beef, lamb, and mutton, properly free range chicken, pigs, ducks and Christmas poultry, and wild venison and game during the season.
