Today, he is interviewing Michael Albarello of Fongaro More about today’s guest The Fongaro Winery was born in 1975 from the passion and commitment of its founder, Guerrino Fongaro. Since the beginning the founder’s strongly believed in the cultivation of an native Veronese grape variety: Durella. The name of the grape also gives the name to the type of wine developed: Durella the grape, Durello the wine. The Durella is one of the oldest and most typical vines of the Lessini Mountains, area where the company stands. The winery is located in Roncà (province of Verona) and is part of the Lessinia National Park where an extinct volcanos left us a fantastic soil structure composed of basalt. In 1975 the Fongaro Winery decided to focus its activity on the exclusive production of Classic Method Sparkling Wines.
