His family was forced to flee the country during the war and they ended up settling in Piedmont, in the province of Turin. He was exposed to wine during his travels as a young adult; having moved to Australia for a couple years, he discovered a true love for wine. Marko founded The Nomad Wine Guy which focuses on artisanal wineries in Italy. He sources them and then helps them to connect with wine buyers in the US and across the globe.
