His background is in Engineering and Project Management, having worked for 15 years on greenfield projects in the energy sector. In 2019, however, he decided to take a sabbatical from his career and began formally studying wine, obtaining certifications in several wine courses in a short period (Professional Sommelier, WSET Level 3, Italian Wine Scholar at Wine Scholar Guild).
