His origins are Swiss and Spanish, and he’s spent most of his life traveling the world. Pepe is fluent in five languages and has a PhD in Marine Biology, but his real passion has always been tied to the world of Italian wines. While living in Zurich and attending college, he started working with the Swiss group, Bindella – the first importer of Sassicaia in the world. Pepe then moved to Montalcino as an Export Manager and became, in a short time, CEO of Argiano, one of the historical Brunello producers. He also has worked for Jacopo Biondi Santi, heir of the iconic Brunello brand, and Guido Folonari - of the Ruffino dynasty. Before coming to Jackson Family Wines, Pepe was the Export Director of Philarmonica (JFW’s distributor in Italy).
