Abstract: Italy’s largest wine-growing region is described through the voices of three producers representing not only three historic Sicilian brands, but also three important associations: Assovini, Consorzio DOC Sicilia, and Fondazione SOStain. Their story spans three decades with a common thread: a choral commitment to the growth of Sicily, a wine-growing region of recognized value and with potential yet to be expressed. This session provides an example of a “production system” where the parties team up and enable dialogue between public and private, between coops and family businesses, between consortia and associations on the island.
