In January 2021, Debra was diagnosed with breast cancer following her annual mammogram. Through her treatments at the UK Markey Cancer Center and the UK Gill Heart & Vascular Institute, Debra's spirit remained strong. She embraced her journey as a means to help uplift others going through their own battles.
