Did today's market close bullish
18/09/2019 Duración: 24minFed day came and passed. In the end, we got pretty much as expected. Now back to business - what's next for tomorrow's market and beyond...The S&P closed right on top of a very interested and critical area. From a candlestick chart and technical perspective, it was too close to call. We'll have to dive deeper using everything else in our tool box to put the pieces of the puzzle together which will lead us in the right direction. The analysis found in this video is appropriate for a beginning trader as well as trader with many years of experience under they're belt. There's always room to learn something. Get ready for wild markets after the Fed
17/09/2019 Duración: 19minThe close is always important. Was today's close different than other closes? It's possible with the upcoming Federal Reserve or FOMC announcement on Wednesday. Today's market saw an end of the day rally to fill a gap left open from Friday's close. Was that all it was, or more. What's interesting is during tonight's episode of common sense market analysis, we'll take a look at a candlestick chart that we don't normally look at to see if we can find anything of value from a technical analysis perspective.Beginning traders looking to learn how to day trade or swing trade, to experienced traders who think you can't teach an old dog new tricks - we have something for everyone. Markets are telling us two different things
16/09/2019 Duración: 26minToday's market was very telling. Most traders were thinking of a bigger decline based on the weekend news of the oil field strike. Crude Oil has a tremendous spike higher, but the stock market shrugged it off, as if it didn't care or see any reason to be nervous of more or different type of activity. There are some divergences to be had, and therefore more now than ever we must rely on sound technical analysis using candlestick charts and some common sense to make an informed decision about where she's headed to next...The content in this episode and all others is appropriate for beginning traders who are trying to learn as well as experienced traders looking for another point of view. Was today a top in the market
12/09/2019 Duración: 24minToday's market saw the S&P 500 spike up to make a new high, then back off. Does that have any real meaning? What is the meaning of the Doji candle it left behind on the daily chart. This type of candlestick is important, but there are also other things on the chart that may out weigh the doji. These things are discussed in tonight's episode of common sense market analysis.Where to next? That's the obvious $64,000 question. Was today the top? will there be panic buying? Will there be a blow off top or will the market keep going to much higher price tags? These question and more are addressed in this stock market video analysis. Are we seeing a blow off top?
11/09/2019 Duración: 22minToday's market saw the follow through from yesterday's low.The important numbers held, the market wanted a minimum of the big phat round number of 3000 on the SPX, ES and SPY 300. It's all done and now we get down to business.Where to next? That's the obvious $64,000 question. In tonight's episode of common sense market analysis, we'll take a look at the candlestick charts, technical analysis for beginners and experienced traders, and we'll put together the best effort to answer all your questions. Tale of today's market tape
10/09/2019 Duración: 20minToday's market was very interesting. It was slow, but the technicals and the numbers were spot on. The market continued all day to respect the Important Numbers which are derived using only technical analysis of the candlestick charts. The analysis found in the common sense market analysis video is great for beginning traders, as well as traders of all shapes and sizes. We use a time test strategy that enables us to take the market one step at a time and the goal is only to be on the correct side of the market rather than chasing or guessing. We're not in the guessing business and we don't day trade or swing trade on hopium. The market either gives us our price or we don't want the trade. Panic buying sets in
06/09/2019 Duración: 21minPanic buying set in. Today's market had the big gap up, but couldn't get any farther. What does that tell us from a chart perspective? What does technical analysis indicate the next major move for markets is? What do the candlesticks say.In tonight's episode, both beginning traders and experienced traders alike will get a current view of where the S&P is as well as the other favorite market leading indicators such as the Transports, IWM, Financials such as the XLF and the Semiconductors SMH.It's important to see the market for what it is rather than the market we would like it to be. Gap down but now follow through
03/09/2019 Duración: 20minToday's market looked promising for the bears. Why did the bulls put up such as fight around the big phat round number of ES 2900?For the most part, it's a psychological number. Technical analysts understand that buyers will show up below 2900 and the bears will try and keep the market below 2900.It was a battle and they were able to close above. Is that significant? We'll find out, but it's one day, and until and unless they can begin getting above and closing above certain important numbers, no dice.We look at markets from a technical perspective, using charts, chart patterns, candlesticks and not a lot more. We keep the charts simple which is easy to understand for traders of all skill level, from beginning traders to the most experienced. We can all learn something. Stock market players pick the bull case
29/08/2019 Duración: 19minMarkets were excited today and everything had a green price tag on it.As we go into a long Holiday weekend, markets have a tendency to work their way higher in a very quiet light volume type of market.Right now, the SPY is headed to the top end of the range it's been trading back and forth within for a few weeks. The market is designed to trick, trap, fool and frustrate as many traders and investors as possible, as much of the time as possible. We should continue to expect no different on the charts or any other technical analysis tool looked at. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Holiday weekend market rally?
28/08/2019 Duración: 15minToday's market saw an early reversal take place. We flagged it early in the IWM and other markets that shows relative strength. The charts always tell the tale, it's simply a matter of reading them correctly, as if to learn another language. We provide common sense technical analysis on many different markets using charts from various time frames to give traders and investors the most comprehensive look at what today's market is doing.Whether you're a beginner or advanced trader, each and every day there are lessons to be taken away from the in depth market analysis where we look at the market from a unique lens. The old gap and crap
27/08/2019 Duración: 15minThe gap and crap is a technical analysis term for a market that appears to be headed higher first thing in the morning, yet only to turn around and head in the other direction. In this episode of common sense market analysis, we'll look at the market from a chart, candlestick and technical perspective to gain an understanding of what the most important price zones are for the SPY. Also featured today was a very weak IWM which we know is a market leading indicator, at least from where we sit...We'll look at the Transports, the Financials and others to get the best picture of what the puzzle looks like in both the short and long term. Is this a relief rally?
27/08/2019 Duración: 20minToday's market was much more normalized than that of Friday's wild price action. At the end of the day, marketes settled out in "no mans land," which leaves us about half way between Friday's high and low range. What is the prognisis going forward? In tonight's episode of common sense market analysis, we'll review what our expectations are for the rest of the week, why we may see less volatility then last week, and of course we'll address whether or not a bottom is in according to the charts and technical analysis. The hidden reason today's market fell apart...
24/08/2019 Duración: 33minToday's market was the big day many traders have been looking for. Whether you believe in the Fed, the Tweet, the numbers, or some other situation relating to why markets fell, it really makes no difference at this point. What we need to do is figure out where the stock market goes next and how it might get there on what type of journey. We use technical analysis even a beginner trader can understand. We use candle sticks and not a lot else. Our main objective is to use common sense market analysis to stay with the current rather than fighting it.The media will pro port a bear market is coming. They will pain a grim picture of a prolonged recession, et al...They may be right, but we'll still see huge swings in both directions that can be traded for real money and real profits. We provide common sense technical analysis on many different markets using charts from various time frames to give traders and investors the most comprehensive look at what today's market is doing.Whether you're a begin

Did the market just top out today?
22/08/2019 Duración: 25minToday's market was anything but garden variety. An early spike higher only to be met with over head resistance on the charts to see markets go on a hard fast selling spree.By the end of the day, the returned to the zero line, making it look boring at best. What's really going on is that market participants are once again "waiting on the Fed."Friday the Fed Chair Jerome Powell will provide some guidance in the form of a speech. Markets are waiting for the Fed to goose the markets. Is the goosing over. Can they continue this monetary madness? From a technical perspective using the candlestick charts, we'll unpack the current state of the market form a long and short term perspective to provide the best schematic as possible going forward. We provide common sense technical analysis on many different markets using charts from various time frames to give traders and investors the most comprehensive look at what today's market is doing.Whether you're a beginner or advanced trader, each and ev

How high can they drive stock markets?
21/08/2019 Duración: 22minToo many traders looking for downside in the market, and another day where the shorts received a pie in the face. From a technical analysis perspective, a good case can be made for both the bulls and the bears. The main difference is what time frame you're discussing. Longer term, the stock market remains in a down trend, but in the short term, they can certainly push prices higher. We'll take a look at other supporting markets such as the SMH, IWM and the financial space. In addition, we'll look at the bond market today, but from a different perspective than we have in the past.We provide common sense technical analysis on many different markets using charts from various time frames to give traders and investors the most comprehensive look at what today's market is doing.Whether you're a beginner or advanced trader, each and every day there are lessons to be taken away from the in depth market analysis where we look at the market from a unique lens. Fed speak this week
20/08/2019 Duración: 18minTurnaround Tuesday didn't disappoint. From a daily chart perspective, it almost looks too obvious where they're headed. Maybe that's what the trick, trap, fool and frustrate crew want us to think. We'll find out more during Wednesday's market, but for now the technical analysis and the charts on a variety of different time frames are telling us lower prices are in the offing sooner than later. We also review the small cap index (IWM), the semiconductors (SMH) and tonight we'll take a look at the volitility index (VIX)We're in for more of a rodeo ride, so put your seat belts on... Where did the bear case go?
19/08/2019 Duración: 18minBig gap higher this morning, and it held. Is this a positive sign for the bulls or is this a fake out and part of the bigger down trend that many analysts believe is present? The bulls never give up the market that easy. From a technical and candlestick chart perspective, the market is in a downtrend, therefore until further notice, the current rally is a bear market bounce inside of a larger down move in process. We look at a wide variety of markets from the S&P500, to the small cap index in the IWM. We use market leading indicators such as the financials using the XLF and the semiconductors using the SMH. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
