In this episode, Joy and Jacqui talk with Kevin Barbee, who currently serves as the Executive Director of ELEVATE Coweta Students. ELEVATE surrounds students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. The organization currently serves 350 students in Coweta County schools and offers many opportunities for volunteers to mentor and help. Longtime Newnan resident and "Voice of the Hawks" for 37 seasons, Steve Holman was recently selected for induction into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame. A Massachusetts native, Holman’s first radio job was as a 17-year-old high school senior at WCCM, where he got to work under sportscasting icon Curt Gowdy, who owned the station. Holman has been involved in the NBA since the early 1970s when he was broadcast assistant to the Boston Celtics' late play-by-play legend Johnny Most. His 2,766th consecutive game is scheduled for Wednesday night as the Hawks take on the Orlando Magic.
