Fiona Lamb is a footy fan and, as a Sydneysider, she is naturally a Giants AFLW supporter. Fiona is passionate about womens football as a platform for empowering women and engaging the public in reducing violence against women. She is also shining a light on Sydney based talent - the SWAFL veterans who got Sydney womens AFL to where it is today, present players in the AFLW comp, and those players who are the future of the game in Sydney. Fiona is a Registered Music Therapist and directs 2 a cappella choirs, and she works in a paediatric hospital in education support for junior medical staff.She is excited about AFLW Season 3 and hosting this podcast with 2 inspiring Sydney AFL women.Coach Kiwi (Lisa Roper) played soccer for 20 years then converted to AFL where she played 250 games including 6 years as a NSW rep. Over the years she has represented her state in 9 different codes. She has almost 30 years of coaching experience across multiple sports, predominantly Soccer, and AFL. Kiwi created Sydney Womens AFL first High Performance programme, coached NZ Kahu U18s, NSW U18s, and premiership winning Saints. Previously a club President and SWAFL league development officer, Kiwi is now coaching in the VFLW and TAC Cup programmes. Tracey Kicks love of AFL comes from her childhood in country Victoria where her parents owned a sports store. She is a five time premiership coach in AFL Sydney, former state womens coach and AFLW Assistant Coach in season 2018 at the GWS Giants. Over many years Tracey has brought her brand of enthusiasm and humanism to a range of fields - in particular education, organisational development, women in sport and women in music. She builds the bus for the troops and make sure the journey is fun!

Highlights from Round 7 include Fi’s rain-lashed, freezing trip to RSEA Park to watch the Giants triumph over the Saints, followed by a trip out to Casey Fields to watch Melbourne’s win over Adelaide. Carlton’s loss to Freo at Princes Park was an absolute cracker and we almost forget to mention that the Pies were knocked off their perch by the Brisbane Lions! Whilst the top and bottom 6 are well and truly decided now, the flag is still up for grabs for all 6 top teams which we think is exciting! Nat receives a warning from a Melbourne tipster and Kiwi reminds us all about Newtown Breakaways’ Preseason AFLX tournament this weekend. But really, we’re all just feeling grateful that women weren’t shot at the @March4Justice in Sydney on Monday, and we thank our Prime Minister for reminding us!

Em takes umbrage at accusations of North Melbourne’s stacked list, and airs the old Darebin rivalry.
