In our Pride Round pod for Season 7 we have a bumper episode for you! We are joined on the show by Darebin Falcons Women's Sports club President Jane Ryan, to explain the club's inclusion policy and the steps they took to rewrite it. And in a Coathanger - nay, an AFLW First - Fi and Loz chat to GWS Giants Katherine Smith and Sydney Swans Lisa Steane about being a footy couple, and why Pride Round is so important.

We preview The Coathanger Cup which will be awarded at this weekend’s derby between Sydney Swans and GWS Giants. We acknowledge Indigenous Round and Fi chats to Swans player Aliesha Newman. 

In our Round 1 pod Fi catches up with Giants’ Vice Captain Alyce Parker. We review the Round 1 matches in which both Sydney teams went down fighting, we talk injuries, acknowledge the debutantes and recognize Lozz’s mum as the leader of our tipping comp! The AFLPA have declared 2026 as the year by which AFLW players are full time. What does that mean for those players who are already developing careers outside of footy? We discuss the poor performance by GWS against Crows at Henson and Trace updates the tipping comp. Is there wisdom in considering a redraft? We discuss the fairness of the condensed and ask if it’s a fair competition? If a team playing 3 games in 8 days competes against fully rested team, what are our expectations of the competition? In the 5th quarter we give a slightly-less-than-in-depth-analysis of all teams in a thumbs up/thumbs down run through the ladder.

Nat Morgan joins us this week as we cover the Crows fall to the Dogs and the Suns who continue their rise with their victory over Geelong, whilst the Giants’ form has dropped again. We discuss Wayne Siekman’s suggestion of a redraft of all players to even the playing field. We ask how much of a toll is so much football due to sudden changes to the fixture having on players’ bodies, as we look ahead to next week’s matches.
