This week we take a look back at the best of 2019, out-takes, take aways and lessons learned. Grateful to our many guests we have sat down with and always excited to hear passionate people talk about their fly fishing experience!

This week we talk underwater photography and videography with Beat J. Korner of OK Falls BC. Beat has some amazing photographs of the Adams River Sockeye run and many beautiful pictures and footage of beautiful marine destinations around the globe. He also ran a lodge for 16 years in the Tagish Wildnerness area of the Yukon Territory, where he specialized in outdoor adventure and fishing trips.

This week we sit down with Mike L Raether of St. Regis Montana. Mike authored a book called Fly fisher's Guide to Northwest Montana's Mountain Lakes. He fished over 130 lakes for the book, and always has his trusty pack goat and dog as he heads into the Alpine. He has written over 50 articles for publications like Northwest Fly fishing Magazine and Montana Outdoors Magazine. Mike spends a lot of time working at Joe Cantrell Outfitting and teaching people to fly fish. Thanks Mike for spending the time and sharing your passion for the alpine, fly fishing and outdoor life.

A firm believer that fly fishing is just "applied science", Andy Witt this week of Due West Anglers Denver Co. A coalition of Rocky Mountain Anglers who believe in conservation through recreation. Andy has an MS in Watershed Science and Ecology, he has worked on projects involving cutthroat trout conservation and endangered fish recovery.

This week we chat with David Ammons who lives in the Cache La Poudre Wilderness, Colorado. He has authored several books, his latest is called Sermons in Stones a book of short stories about his beautiful part of the world, tales of family, friends and fly fishing. David has a great passion for quiet mountain settings and casting for wild alpine trout.

This week we chat with the owner of TY-Rite, Mark Troilo of Harbor Springs Michigan. He tells us about the storied history of his company, his new found passion for fly fishing, and the many great people he has met through the fly fishing industry.

This week we sit down with an old friend... Colin Mottershead of Penticton, BC Canada. Colin has been fly fishing the still waters of British Columbia for over 35 years. One of the most effective chironomid fishers I have shared a shoal with. He and his wife Leah run a restaurant called The Edge Bistro at Apex Mountain Resort and during the open water season follows his passion for fly tying and chasing large Rainbow Trout. He brings a huge passion to the water and is always working on perfecting his many chironomid patterns.

Today a conversation with Greg McCrimmon of Denver Co. #Nativewatersflyfishing, Greg is a back country guide with GEAR Colorado Fly Fishing. We talk about days on Colorado's productive waters in search of native trout. Greg's passion for back country fly fishing, what inspires him and how he came to discover fly fishing.

This week we sit down with Matt Guiguet from Genelle British Columbia. Matt runs a guiding service on the Columbia River mainly targeting its healthy population of Rainbow Trout. He and his wife Kristy also operate Rugged Point Lodge in the Kyuquot Sound. We talk about the many fly fishing opportunities on the Columbia, influences and targeting large bows on the mighty Columbia.

This week we visit with Lesley Herron Allen, avid fly fisher, fly tyer and kayaker. Lesley is a Fishing Manager with Orvis in Memphis Tennessee. We talk about her busy days in the shop, her mentors and the rewarding classes the Memphis Orvis Store offers on learning how to fly fish. We talk tying, smallmouth bass, trout and following your passion within the fly fishing industry.

This week we are thrilled to welcome Nick Lyter to the podcast. Nick spends a lot of time fly fishing the trout streams of PA. Fly bum, veteran, former mayor and blog contributor for PA Wilds, Nick talks all things fly fishing life and has a passion for the diverse and rich fly fishing history of the Keystone State.

This week we sit down with Brian Wise from Gainesville Missouri. Brian is best known for Fly fishing the Ozarks. He is a guide, amazing fly tyer, vlogger, youtuber, photographer and videographer. He has been creating some great content for many years on the White River in Arkansas and at the tying bench in Missouri. We talk inspiration, creating content and the new breed of fly fishers on our waters. This is a candid conversation that will surely inspire you to wet a line.

This week we have a return guest in Nick DelVecchio. Nick talks about his experience writing fly fishing articles for magazines and his many blogs which you can find on The Fly Crate.com and Wildwoodoutfitterspa.com. Located in Cooperstown PA, we talk how to structure articles, find suitable topics and the editing process. Nick also is a guide and outfitter at Wildwood Outfitters.

This week we sit down with singer/songwriter Jesse Cornett of Jesse Cornett and the Revolvers. He tells us how he came to discover fly fishing. How bull riding, song writing, making music and fly fishing have shaped his life. Based in Loveland CO, we hear his single "in the rain" and find out about his days spent as a fly fishing guide and touring the country with his band.

This week an inspirational talk with Christian Bacasa co- founder of Dupeafish. Christian tell us how he came to discover fly fishing after being diagnosed with cancer. As a high level athlete, now faced with limited lung function, fly fishing became the outlet he was looking for. We chat about how dupeafish came to be... a company that is dedicated to putting people in touch with fish and having fun on the water.

This week we have an engaging chat with George Daniel, guide, author, writer and teacher out of Central PA. There are many passionate people within fly fishing circles but George has learned from the likes of Joe Humphreys amongst others, but approaches the pastime with a refreshing sense of enthusiasm and endless possibilities. We talk about life, fly fishing and seeing our sport through the eyes of guided guests, kids and newcomers.

This week Stephen Cunic, creator of GHOSTech Strike Indicators. Stephen is based in Bethlehem, PA, he is an avid fly fisher, photographer and has come up with some cutting edge ideas to help you catch more fish. Learn what drove him to create these indicators and what drives his passion for spending time on the water.

This week we sit down with Nick Sliwkanich of Northern Alberta. Nick is a teacher, fly fishing writer and presenter from the Athabasca area. When he is not working on articles or at the tying bench you will find Nick on the productive waters of Northern Alberta chasing pike, walleye, grayling, bows and browns on the fly...
