Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Jesus is so forgiving and typically we care more about our worries than He does...God’s not worried so why do we? “Be still and know that I am God,” Psalm 46:10 Patience! It has been my word all week — but sometimes we limit patience to whatever it is we “think” we should be patient in. We never think of patience in the car, or patience with the person walking slow in front of you, maybe it’s patience in making a decision... sometimes we need to slow down! We’re always in such a hurry to get to where we’re going we never take a step back to enjoy where we are and we miss the very thing God wants for us. I encourage you to be patience but more importantly be still and trust that even though the promise seems unreachable — it’s still there, be still and know that Jesus is faithful and if He said He will do it, He will. This week, take a step back, slow down and be still. Go into that quiet place and ask God if you’ve missed anything because you were too far ahead. I love you and Jesus loves you more! “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8 It is so important that we are a reflection of God’s love even when people do cruel things that we may not agree with, even when people hurt you and those around you we still have to learn how to love. Jesus was loved, and God so loved us that He sent Him to die for our sins! Because of love, you exist, because of love, you are forgiven, because of love — you were made new. We should be a reflection of just that. Hate causes so much strife, division, unforgiveness, grief and depression, fear and others things that were never made for us to battle, especially alone. See Jesus set us free when He rose from the dead and shed His blood for us! We have to remember that His love is in us and we can give that love to those people around us.
