The Nerd Lunch crew continues it's seemingly never-ending Star Trek Drill Downs, this time with Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home aka "The Whale One." They welcome Quinn Rollins onto the show and the four discuss how this funny movie took a long time to be funny, Spock's quirkiness and the pregnancies of Saavik and Gracie. Jeeg is back! Plus we are joined by Jaime Hood in the fourth chair to talk about board game movies. We talk about how few there are and if it's a good idea to begin with. Then we each are assigned a board game and have to pitch a movie version of it.

This week Jeeg is still out saving kittens and puppies and we are joined by Shawn Robare and Andrew Bloom for another round of Filmmaker Roulette. Everyone is assigned a movie and then randomly assigned a new director and we have to remake our assigned movies in the visual style of our new director. It's a lot of fun!

Not just any super hero teams, but teams made up of characters commonly found in comic shop and convention discount bins. As a part of our "Real Life Scenarios" discussions, the Nerd Lunch crew welcomes Mike Westfall on to discuss who we think the real life Vice Presidential Action Rangers are. Based on the premise from Futurama's "Anthology of Interest I" where Al Gore reveals a VP's job is to protect the space-time continuum, we determine the rosters of Sprio Agnew, George Bush, Dan Quayle, Dick Cheney, Joe Biden and Mike Pence's Action Rangers. Be assured that the space-time continuum is in good shape for the most part.

This time Robert Zerbe and Tim Lybarger join CT and Jeeg for a new round of Internet creeping after long lost celebrities. The Nerd Lunch Indy panel completed the Indiana Jones trilogy, but found out there was one more Indy movie to cover. Apparently in 2008, there was another Indiana Jones movie made called Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Okay...okay, we knew they made it, but we try to forget it. Alas, we remember it one more time so we can discuss the over-the-topness of this final (for now) installment of the franchise. What do we think about Marion's return? Indy having a son? A Russian enemy who has the special ability to not have a consistent accent? Listen now and let's nuke this fridge together.

This week the Nerds return to their annual topic where they make up stuff about the coming year that won't come true. That's right, it's Nerdstradamus 2017. After a recap of the pathetic showing for 2016, the show welcomes Tim Lybarger to make predictions with them about TV, fast/junk food, and a wild card category. Then, they delve into an exercise of guessing which songs will show up on the second Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack. Plus: Nerd To-Dos return!

Nerd Lunch's holiday celebration begins this week as Michael DiGiovanni returns to the Fourth Chair to continue our Christmas tradition. This year we pay homage to holiday themed TV episodes. Rather than recounting our favorites, we create Christmas crossover events that we wish existed for specific TV lineups of years gone by. If you ever wanted to know how the shows of the 1985-86 NBC primetime lineup might spend the holidays together (and who didn't?), this is the episode for you. It's a fun discussion that wanders into the room full of crazy more than once along the way. Happy Holidays from all of us at Nerd Lunch!

This week on Nerd Lunch we are celebrating that most holiest of days, Ninja Day! For this very special episode we are joined by Evan Hanson and first time guest Keith Rainville from VintageNinja.net to discuss the 1962 Japanese ninja classic, Shinobi-no-Mono. Keith takes us through the movie and we have a pretty deep discussion on the impact of this classic and how it influenced movies for generations to come.

Michael May and Andrew Bloom join Jeeg and CT to go back to their "Give That Guy Some Work" topic. This time, they're focusing in on folks who have passed away that should have gotten more work while they were alive. Grace Lee Whitney, Kevin Smith (the other one) and Don Knotts are among those we employ in the great casting couch in the sky.

Pax jumps in to talk about the differences between the novelization and the movie for the second Indiana Jones sequel.
