07/01/2026In bringing us through the twelve “Let us” resolutions in the epistle to the Hebrews, Derek now comes to the ninth step. And as Derek suggests, take time to memorize these steps in order. This will help you to advance in the competition to your specific objective—to successfully run the race.

Twelve Steps to a Good Year (10)
07/01/2026It is our responsibility to stimulate one another to love and good deeds. We should think of way to bring out the best in each other. Let’s begin to look out for the needs of others, too, placing our self-interests in the background. Jesus was a “servant of all”; let us also consider how we can reflect His attitude.

Twelve Steps to a Good Year (9)
07/01/2026When the words of our mouth agree with the Word of God, we enlist the ministry of Jesus as the High Priest of our confession. But then we are encouraged to hold fast our confession without wavering. Why would we need to “hold fast”? Because He who promised is faithful.

Twelve Steps to a Good Year (8)
07/01/2026Derek Prince points out in today’s message that the Most Holy Place relates to the tabernacle in the wilderness. It is the place of God’s throne. So when we draw near to the Most Holy Place we are actually drawing near to God Himself. In fact, we are invited to take our place with Christ on the throne. Listen as Derek explains . . .

Twelve Steps to a Good Year (7)
07/01/2026Today Derek Prince points out the tremendous importance of pressing on to maturity in the Christian life. There are no other alternatives. It is wrong to believe that we can somehow “arrive” and then just sit back and relax. Take this fifth resolution to heart to continue along the path of the righteous.

Twelve Steps to a Good Year (6)
07/01/2026The significance of the twelve “Let us” statements given in the book of Hebrews is that they are not given in random order. First we find “let us fear,” second is “let us be diligent,” third is “let us hold fast our confession.” Now we come to number four: “Let us draw near to the throne of grace.” Derek explains . . .

Twelve Steps to a Good Year (5)
07/01/2026The word confession is described by Derek as meaning “saying the same thing as God has said in His Word.” We make the words of our mouth agree with what God has said in His Word. And not only do we say it, but we say it boldly.

Twelve Steps to a Good Year (4)
07/01/2026The Israelites were led by God through the wilderness to the promised destination: to enter God’s rest. But most of them did not make it. Their carcasses fell because of unbelief and disobedience. The experiences of Israel are set as a pattern for us—to maintain diligence in seeking to hear and obey the voice of God.

Twelve Steps to a Good Year (3)
07/01/2026During this week and the two following weeks, Derek uncovers twelve “Let us” statements out of the book of Hebrews. The first of these, “Let us fear,” might be considered a startling one. But the reason for it is connected to the fact that this book was written to the Jewish believers. Listen as Derek brings forth those points.

Twelve Steps to a Good Year (2)
07/01/2026Hebrew believers had a different background than other New Testament believers. The epistle to the Hebrews is specifically and primarily addressed to believers from a Jewish background. That background gave them many advantages and many special privileges, which were not enjoyed by the Gentiles or the pagans from other nations and backgrounds. Listen today as Derek brings this to light.

Twelve Steps to a Good Year (1)
07/01/2026The beginning of the New Year brings a desire to change—it’s a kind of new start. But let’s not make changes that only last through the first week. Let us resolve to make lasting changes. Remember that resolutions determine attitudes; attitudes determine approach and approach determines the outcome.

Love of God, The (15)
18/12/2025Today Derek finishes this study on the topic of love by using the active definition and command Jesus gave to His disciples. “Love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” By this we know that we are to prefer others before ourselves. This is love taking on flesh.
-
Love of God, The (14)
18/12/2025Today Derek examines the character of love—how it behaves in everyday life. Looking at the verses in 1 Corinthians 13, “the love chapter,” we find how love behaves—what it does and does not do. Love is not insecure, so it does not make a display of itself. It is infinitely strong and can stand any pressure, face any situation. Love can meet any challenge, and love never gives up.
-
Love of God, The (13)
18/12/2025Reading from 1 Corinthians 13, Derek comments on the importance of love. Without love we are nothing. Regardless of all of our giftings, no matter what we do, if it is not borne out of love it will not accomplish the fullness of what it was meant to do. All we do must be done in faith to empower the action of love.

Love of God, The (12)
18/12/2025Today we examine the perfect law of liberty, the law of love. The entire Law is wrapped up in these: If we love God and love our neighbors as we love ourselves. If we will put these two commands into practice, we will not break any law. The end purpose of the New Testament is precisely the same as the Old, but it takes the love of God in Christ to fulfill it.

Love of God, The (11)
18/12/2025How does God’s agape love work in our lives? Derek helps us to see that we cannot move in God’s love until it has first been birthed within us by the Holy Spirit. Then, as we get to know the One who has given us this love, we can come to know and experience God’s love in our lives. There is much more to it than we can imagine, but eventually it will flow out from us to others.

Love of God, The (10)
18/12/2025In today’s session, Derek provides Scriptures that address God’s ability to bring healing to hearts wounded by rejection. There are wounds of feeling unwanted, unloved, uncared for, unappreciated, or losing God’s perspective of one’s own value. Derek especially looks at two primary areas where rejection occurs—between a husband and wife, and that of a child from his or her parents.
-
Love of God, The (09)
18/12/2025Today’s study considers love that occurs in marriage—the picture of a husband and wife or of Christ and the church. In Ephesians, this is called “a mystery.” What was the motivation for Christ giving Himself up for the church? Love. Derek brings out five facts to reveal the love of Christ for His bride.
-
Love of God, The (08)
18/12/2025Derek takes the parable of the sinful woman and the Pharisee to show how love and forgiveness are obtained through faith, not works. God’s love cannot be bought. It cannot be earned. And it is priceless. The amazing fact is—it is freely given!

Love of God, The (07)
18/12/2025So, what has motivated God to move so graciously in the ways of men? It certainly is not because we merited it in some way, but simply because He loves us. God chose Israel, too—not because they were special but because He loved them. He chooses us, as well—not because we have earned it, but just because He loves us.
