This week an interview with artist and musician Stuart Hyatt. He has an excellent new LP coming out as part of his Field Works series. It's titled The Fair State, and the record explores sounds and themes relating to the Indiana Bicentennial - from the voice of Eugene Debs, to the sounds of cows and goats. As you may have noticed Cultural Manifesto has been 'off-air' the last two weeks due to NPR's coverage of the Republican and Democratic conventions. Continuing loosely on that theme, this week's edition of Cultural Manifesto will look back at a pair of interviews I recorded in 2015 featuring Indianapolis artists sharing their concerns over the policies and rhetoric of Mike Pence and Donald Trump.
