  • Pet Sematary (2019) | Movie Review | Second in Pet Sematary Movie Review Series

    21/10/2019 Duración: 59min

30 years after audiences saw King's darkest work come to life on the big screen--a new generation of moviegoers can once again relive the Creed's nightmare, albeit, with a twist. With four Stephen King films coming out in 2019--King and his fans are experiencing a renaissance with his work where the cheesy 80's are out and the dark and brooding century is in. With a more serious adaption of King's work now for our consumption the question is is it any better or is this still wonkey in its own way? Join Corbin and Allen as they discuss Pet Sematary to find out! Join the discussion! Question after the show: Is this a better adaption of the book than the 1989 film? Why or why not? • Rambo: Last Blood (2019) | Movie Review | Fifth in Rambo Movie Review Series

    14/10/2019 Duración: 01h11min

Rambo has been MIA for the past 11 years. He's been living on his father's ranch--hopefully in peace. Now, he's back for possibly (probably not) one last time--this time to take on one of America's biggest issues--human trafficking along the US/Mexico border. Many may be wondering why Sly Stone came back as John Rambo once again, especially after last time seemed to be the end of the franchise? Better yet, is this even a worthy installment akin to the great First Blood or should it be forgotten like Rambo's past? Join Corbin and Allen as they review Rambo: Last Blood. Don't forget to catch up on our reviews all four Rambo films including the TV show! Join the discussion! • Star Trek Beyond (2016) | Movie Review | Thirteenth in Star Trek Movie Review Series

    07/10/2019 Duración: 53min

3 years after the highly successful sequel to JJ Abrams Star Trek reboot--Justin Lin (Fast & Furious director) came onboard to direct and Simon Pegg (yes, Scotty) penned the script. Going in a wholly new direction and mostly ignoring the ramifications of the Kelvin timeline--this latest Trek film hearkens back to the original 60's television series with a simpler plot and a colorful palette. Box office numbers were significantly weaker, especially domestically, but it still was highly successful with audiences and critics. 3 years have come and gone and we're without a new Trek film so is there something getting ready to beam onto our theatrical screens soon or is this the end for Star Trek? Join Corbin and Brad for their *final* review in their retrospective series, but hopefully they'll go beyond this one and be back to discuss Star Trek 14! Join the discussion! 30/09/2019 Duración: 40min

4 years after the astronomically successful reboot/prequel, JJ Abrams and crew are back for a familiar yet new adventure. With an even bigger budget and brand new talent--does this Trek film hit new highs? According to the box office it sure does and not to mention it was a huge win for critics and audiences! But does Star Trek Into Darkness violate the Prime Directive for Corbin and Brad or does it earn their respect as their new favorite Trek film? Join us to find out! Join the discussion! 7 long years have passed since Star Trek had a theatrical film--the franchise seemed dead in the water not only on the big screen but also on the small screen with the cancellation of Star Trek: Enterprise. But on Trek's 30th theatrical anniversary, JJ Abrams and his writing duo from Mission Impossible: III teamed up to create a massive blockbuster filled with action while honoring the original films. • Star Trek: Insurrection (1998) | Movie Review | Ninth in Star Trek Movie Review Series

    09/09/2019 Duración: 36min

2 years after what IMDb users in 1996 considered the 7th greatest film of all time, Johnathan Frakes was back to helm the ninth installment but with brand new writers. Hoping to capitalize off the lighthearted success of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, the crew opted for a whimsical Trek film instead of the life and death stakes last time. Does Picard's journey to the Fountain of Youth make Corbin and Brad feel young once again like the Baku or does it leave us feeling stretched thin like the wretched Sona? 3 years after the beloved sendoff of the original Star Trek crew; the next generation made the leap from TV screens to theater screens. With the end of the 7 season television run--the new crew had a bright future going where no man had gone before. Having an entirely new cast for a Trek film is a big deal, so is the transition from Kirk to Picard handled well? Join Corbin and Brad as they discuss Star Trek: Generations. Join the discussion! • Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991) | Movie Review | Sixth in Star Trek Movie Review Series

    19/08/2019 Duración: 38min

2 years after the massively unsuccessful fifth installment in the Star Trek franchise, the crew of the USS Enterprise journeyed to space-the final frontier one last time before handing the reins to the next generation. Releasing on the 25th anniversary original series, everyone was hoping this swan song would be their exit on a high note. Join Corbin and Brad as they travel where no man has gone before to determine whether Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country goes out on top! • Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989) | Movie Review | Fifth in Star Trek Movie Review Series

    12/08/2019 Duración: 34min

2 years after the massively successful fourth installment in the Star Trek franchise (although, not as successful as Mad Max Fury Road), William Shatner himself took over the directing chair to helm his take on a Star Trek story. Surprisingly, it was slammed critically, audiences at the time actually thought it was pretty good, but not enough fans came out to make this a successful box office contender in the series. The film just passed its 30th anniversary, so given some time, is this actually the one of the better Star Trek films in the series? Join Corbin and Brad as they travel beyond the Great Barrier to determine whether Star Trek V: The Final Frontier should be the final film or whether Shatner hits out of the galaxy! 05/08/2019 Duración: 24min

2 years after Star Trek III: The Search for Spock was critically successful but tepidly received by audiences--Leonard Nemoy returned for one final time as director to complete the unintended trilogy that began with The Wrath of Khan (oh that feels so long ago). This time, Nemoy wanted a light-hearted Trek film with no clear cut villain. It's a risky gamble but does it pay off? Join Corbin and Brad as they discuss Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home...what many consider to be the best film in the entire franchise! Question after the show: Is this your favorite Star Trek film? Their plan is in direct competition to AMC Stubs "A-List" membership. Each offers their own unique benefits and trade-offs, but which plan will save you the most money and offer you the best movie going experience? Join Corbin as he breaks down everything you need to know about each plan, and he even compares the two with Redbox to see if renting movies for the home cinema is an even better option than going to the movie theater. Only two years after the success of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, a sequel hit theaters that further bolstered the Star Trek franchise that pleased fans and captured the imaginations of newcomers. Sorry for the late upload listeners! Allen made a major move across three states so we took a short break for him to get him settled! Enjoy this free bonus episode of our review of Marvel's Avengers: Endgame! -------------------------------------------------------- In 1997, Steven Spielberg's production company Amblin Entertainment in conjunction Marvel Comics imprint Malibu Comics (so yes technically this is a Marvel movie)--brought the secret government UFO organization known as the Men in Black to the big screen. Creating a surprising pairing between Will Smith (fresh off The Fresh Prince of Bel-Aire) and Tommy Lee-Jones (fresh off his Oscar win for The Fugitive)--the duo appealed to young and old alike for an action packed, comedy light years ahead of the competition at the summer box office. The film was a surprise hit, grossing over half-a-billion dollars. Not surprisingly, the film has remained in the cultural zeitgeist with even the most modest film watcher having heard of "men in black." Listeners,
