With Fish absent, Jimmy and Jason bring in friend-of-the-show David to discuss some of the recent news from the last week. One of the bigger things was the release of the new Ghostbuster’s trailer – which elicited mixed reactions from our hosts and also brought about a discussion about remakes and reboots in general. We talk about some of our favorite and least favorites and try to establish some rules that Hollywood should adhere to concerning reboots/remakes.

In this week’s episode, we go over all of the Pokemon-related news including it’s 20th year anniversary, the newest pair of games Sun and Moon, and the phenomenon Twitch Watches Pokemon. These topics bring us to discuss collectibles including Magic cards and Beanie Babies, video games, tabletop games, movies, science fiction, and so much more. Lastly, we discuss the Oscars and some of the controversy surrounding it.

A little bit of a slow news week, so once we got through discussing the announcement of HTC & Valve’s Vive VR headset we decided to get hypothetical. By that I mean we picked some random hypothetical questions and then answered them. These questions cover personality flaws, poetry, tap dancing, hybrid animals, time travel, robots, immortality, and everything in between.

After our brief hiatus last week, we are back. Back to discuss all of the major happenings in technology, gaming, entertainment, science, or anything else we deem important. This episode’s topics: Valentine’s Day, Spam emails, TheFineBros trademark debacle, YouTube, Deadpool and Zoolander 2, Star Wars, spoilers, Batman vs Superman, cartoon reboots, Gravity wave detection, and so much more.

With Fish at PAX South, Jimmy and Jason bring back David to discuss what’s going on in the world. First, they discuss the recent internet uproars caused by The Fine Bros attempt to trademark react videos and the issues caused from YouTube’s automated copyright system. Next, we discuss the changing entertainment landscape including Netflix and TV, magazines, books, and newspapers. Which transitions to a lengthy movie discussion including sequels, reboots, parodies, De Niro in Bad Grandpa, Will Ferrell, and Jim Carrey. Lastly, to end the episode, we play a few rounds of “Will You Press The Button?”

It’s the first episode of the arbitrarily created and yet to be named Season 3 and nothing has changed. In this episode, Jimmy and Fisher discuss the recent discovery of a new planet in our solar system, the new X-files series, and the upcoming PAX South Convention. In addition to the main topics, we delve into several tangents including clones, robots, movies, old cartoons, VHS technology, trivia, arcade games, and so much more.

You can just call us Barry Manilow, because it Looks like we made it! The end of an era, Thinking Outside The Pod: Season 2: Electric Boogaloo has come to an end. For the momentous occasion, Jimmy, Fisher, and Jason don’t really do anything different than any other episode – they discuss the record setting Powerball winners, the failure of Jimmy’s brilliant Kickstarter social experiment, Oculus Rift and Virtual reality, Netflix, and the evils of Corporate America. So stay tuned for season 3 as we continue to try and make sense of this crazy world and last but not least thanks for listening.
