Thinking Outside The Pod

Sorry about the hiatus - but we're back! In this week's episode Jimmy, Jason, and Jessica discuss Donald Trump, the creepy clown epidemic, the supernatural, and lastly we discuss some classic Halloween movies.

I know we said we were gonna take a break from special episodes but hey we're rebels and also we procrastinated and didn't look up any stories before recording. So here we go again a special episode. We here at totpod have been on a Dungeons and Dragons kick recently, so we decided to record a session and see how it goes. Finally back with a normal episode, special episodes are nice and all, but we've been out of the news cycle for too long - playing games instead of discussing the currents trends and stories. So get ready for a fairly deep and heavy conversation. This week's topics: The 15th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, The passing of Gene Wilder, some reasoning and rules for remakes and reboots, and lastly we discuss some of the recent fails coming out of the mobile phone industry.

Consider this an experiment. We've played card games in the past but this is taking it to a whole new level. This week we play Munchkin, a very fun but frustrating role-playing card game. So forgive any dead air or parts where you can't follow along, we tried to use our microphone voices and explain along the way. Listen up Warner Bros, y'all really screwed the pooch this time, you've let us down for the last time. You had your chance and you blew it. Now, two guys with a mostly unknown and frankly mediocre podcast in San Antonio are going to have take the reins and do the DC cinematic universe some "justice" (Pun extremely intended and also a hint to some of the humor we intend to include in our rewrite). After discussing some opinions on the newest Wonder Woman trailer, Star Trek Beyond, Suicide Squad, Munchkins, among other things, they battle to find out about such things like Obama's weakness, Batman's guilty pleasure, alternative medicine, little known sports, and so much more. With San Diego Comic Con winding down Jimmy, Fish and Jason get together to discuss some of the bigger announcements there as well as anything else they feel is important.  This week's topics: The live-action pokemon movie based on Detective Pikachu, other Live-action remakes of older children movies, Star Trek Beyond, Kong: Skull Island, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Star Wars, King Arthur, Snowden, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Justice League, Spider-man Homecoming, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Agents of shield, Legion, American Gods, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Defenders, and lastly the MST3K revival.

Jimmy and Fish get out the old crystal ball and peer into the unknown. First we look at the signs and discern how much we probably won't like the new Ghostbusters movie. Next we discuss Pokemon Go and look forward to some of the features we're hoping for like trading,  a new battle system. more Pokemon, and maybe NPC battles. However, we do also discuss the new found publicity and awareness that may culminate in a live action Pokemon movie. Next, we speculate about the new PlayStation 4 console. We also go over the recent CSGO Lottery scandal and predict that it may just be be the thing that finally gets lawmakers involved in the internet. Check it out!

Totpod celebrates the Fourth of July and what better way to celebrate America's independence than a conversation about Pokemon. We are back from our little hiatus to discuss the most important topics of this day and age. This week's topics revolve around videos games and superheroes.  We first discuss Jason's recent trip to the National Videogame Museum located in Frisco, TX. This got us talking about the debate over video games possibly causing real world violence. Lastly we give our spoiler-filled review of X-Men: Apocalypse.

Jimmy and Fish once again gather around the mic for another discussion.
