  • 80: Navigating Conflict

    24/07/2018 Duración: 19min

In this episode, I talk about how we can navigate conflict well. Conflict is normal and sometimes we think without conflict we are peaceful people. It’s important to realize that we can’t resolve everything but we do have a part to play. Today I want to share some things with you that I use almost on a daily basis to resolve conflict and live through conflict. 1. You are fully responsible for yourself. 2. Use empathy and put yourself in someone else’s shoes for a minute. 3. Own up with what you have and ask yourself if you should have a conversation about it. What can you do without the other person participating? 4. Practice saying: “I am so sorry, will you please forgive me?” 5. Let it go and keep no record of wrongs (1 Corinthians 13:5). 6. Come up with a plan and ask yourself the right questions. I hope this helps you today. Always ask the Lord to guide you. Let go of the things He is asking you to let go of and fight for the things He is asking you to fight for. “My dear brothers and sisters, take

  • 79: Sustaining Abundance

    17/07/2018 Duración: 21min

In this episode, I talk about how we grow and develop our lives especially when we find we are struggling and it feels like we are walking on water. What you are feeling today may not be directly linked to what you invested in today, prayed today or developed today. Everything is because of yesterday. The Bible is very clear that we will reap what we’ve sown, however, what we don’t often realize is that our harvest is directly linked to what we’ve sown long ago. Where are we sowing today in order to reap next year? How are you stewarding what God has given you so that you can double it by next year? What do you want to reap in 2019? It’s important to take ownership of the seeds we’ve been given to sow and steward them well because He wants to entrust more to us. Don’t be discouraged by the doing, step out in confidence and keep going because you are going to reap a great harvest in the future. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/havilah-cunnington/support

  • 75: How to Overcome Self Rejection

    24/04/2018 Duración: 15min

We are His creation. If we constantly hate what we see every time we look in the mirror, how can we trust that God has a great plan for our lives? The reality is that the picture we see in the mirror is His greatest work. We are His creation. How He created us, whether we like it or not, was part of His plan and there is an acceptance we have to come to. The message of Jesus has always been one saying we are accepted, made perfect, and loved beyond comprehension. Ground yourself in this reality and self-rejection will begin to lose its power. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/havilah-cunnington/support

  • 74: Subtle Changes for Radical Growth: Part 3: Development

    15/04/2018 Duración: 15min

In this podcast we're continuing with our Growth series. Tune in as we talk all about "development" as a stage of growth. If we miss the season, we will miss the moment. If we don’t know what season we are in and what stage of development we are in, we can often times miss the moment entirely. In order to develop our spiritual life, we need to know what season are in. We need to acknowledge that the season you were in may not be the same season you are in today. “There is a season (a time appointed) for everything and a time for every delight and event or purpose under heaven” Ecclesiastes 3:1 (MSG) You must embrace the season you’re in because the moment you embrace the space it becomes easier. “Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in.” Galatians 6:9 *To learn more and join our Truth to Table membership community visit: www.truthtotable.com/membership *To save $10 on your first month register with this podcast only link: ht

  • 73: Subtle Changes for Radical Growth: Part 2: Environment

    12/04/2018 Duración: 15min

Can a Christian have a meltdown? We often times know that a crash or meltdown is coming but we don’t know what to do. In this week’s class, we’re going to talk about "environment." Who are you waiting for to participate for you to live an abundant life? We are called to live an abundant life without anyone else participating. How do you get your power back? Galatians 6:5 (MSG) Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don’t be impressed with yourself. Don’t compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life. The environment in which you are growing life is your responsibility. God is the gardener, he is the center of our life! • 72: Growth: Subtle Changes for Radical Growth: Pt 1

    10/04/2018 Duración: 20min

In this podcast, we'll be starting a new series on Growth: Subtle Changes for Radical Growth. This series will actually give you a sneak peek into our Truth to Table membership experience. Part 1: All growth starts at baseline. It’s often the incremental growth that causes us to become who we want to be and who we are called to be. In this week’s class, we’ll be discussing subtle shifts for radical change. “I Should” is based in shame and it doesn’t allow us to be in the process. It requires us to be perfect and causes discouragement. God does not hold us to the “I Should’s”, he is the ‘I Am” and “I will”. He operates in timing and seasons. • 66: Stronger than the Struggle

    15/12/2017 Duración: 14min

Have you ever been in a spiritual situation that has left you more confused than empowered? In this Podcast episode, I share a story of the first time I witnessed something spiritual happen. I talk about how it left me confused and terrified. It wasn’t until I started to read and study the idea of spiritual battles that I was reminded of this moment. Many of us have experienced things like this happen, and people have shut it down. Our spiritual battle was never meant to be fear-driven and something we can’t talk about. We were born into battle. We must understand that we can't be ignorant of the enemy's schemes (2 Corinthians 2:11). When we decide to live for Christ, we are stronger than any struggle we will ever face. Does this mean we will never face any struggles? No, because we still live in a fallen world. But why does He allow all these struggles? God in his mercy does not interrupt our free-will because controlling love is not real love. No one is immune to the struggle, but our firm foundation in

  • 65: It Gets Harder Before It Gets Easier

    12/12/2017 Duración: 11min

Sometimes in life things actually get harder before they get easier. It doesn't always mean you're going in the wrong direction when things feel off. Radical change happens sometimes as our situation gets worse. The beautiful lesson in all of this is that God always has a redemptive plan in mind. He already has a beautiful future set out for us, we might just have to wait a little longer than we might have thought. • 64: 5 Keys to a Peaceful December

    06/12/2017 Duración: 30min

In this Podcast episode Havilah shares some thoughts on how to navigate your December. The more you have going on, the more critical it is to have a strategy. There is a downside of December and the feelings it provides. A lot of us have expectations that come with Christmas-time, but the reality is completely different. Havilah gives you 5 keys to a peaceful December Admit you have expectations. If you do not admit it, you will feel more and more disappointed when reality hits you. This is called maturity. What are you expecting and what are your limitations? What is most important to you? What feeling do you want to have during this season? Sometimes these are two different things. Schedule things to facilitate your feelings. What can you do to connect with your people, God and yourself? Set expectations for others. You need to get in a place of throwing things, not always catching. People have expectations, but if you know you can’t do it all, you have to say no. Consider January. You cannot ignore Janu

  • 62: Work With Me

    18/10/2017 Duración: 11min

Today on the podcast I talk about the hard work that comes with change. It’s fall and the right season for change, shift and new beginnings. I am still in the thick of transition as you might know if you have been following this podcast. In this episode I talk about how we often wish that what God asks us to do is magically easy and doesn’t require any effort. But the truth is, sometimes doing life is just hard and not fun. With change comes hard work, adjustment and a different way of thinking, a process. The acknowledgment of it being hard does not make us weak but normal and human. It’s not a definition of our purpose but a reality. I love Psalm 90:17 in the Passion Translation, it says “O Lord, our God, let your sweet beauty rest upon us and give us favor. Come work with us, and then our works will endure. And give us success in all we do!” We want favor not just our own effort. We want to come and have God’s sweet beauty resting upon us. I know this is going to be work and it’s not going to be an e
