  • We’re Not Bad, We’re Just Drawn That Way

    16/02/2013 Duración: 01h24min

Are you a fan of things people draw that move really fast, also known as animation or cartoons? Well, the Broads discuss their favorites (mostly Adventure Time) and the ones they hate. Are these shows geared towards the kiddies filled with subliminal messages the grownups will get, are they making them so the whole family is entertained, or are we ladies just dumbasses who like things for children? You decide. Just don't let the kids get a hold of Cool World or Heavy Metal. We also yakked about New Year's resolutions because it's some sort of LAW that you have to talk about that shit every January. If you don't, you are not an AMERICAN. Speaking of New Year's resolutions, check out our new our new feature, folks! It's called The Broad Abroad, in which our hero Lauren talks to people about stuff! NSFW Words of the week: Skiing when a girl jerks two guys off at the same time. What did you do last night? I went skiing with Connie and Jim. Boat Racing When two guys jerk each other off to see who finishes f

  • C U Next Tuesday!

    29/01/2013 Duración: 11min

The Broads are now doing it once a week. Introducing the new Mini-Skirt episode of Broadcast! Here you'll find all sorts of little fun bits and pieces, like side chats, poetry readings, man-on-the-street interviews, rants, and much more. In this Mini-Skirt we talked about some of our recent dreams and then psychoanalyzed each other... it's not as dirty as you think.

  • We Made It Through 2012. Barely.

    25/01/2013 Duración: 01h58min

You want an end of the year recap? You got it. You want shitty poetry? You got it. You want to hear our favorite shows/movies/music/fuck-all of 2012? You got it. Stuff happened in the year that didn't make the world end, and you're going to hear our triumphs, struggles, recoveries, and a bunch of other bullshit. Please enjoy listening to the Broads discuss the highs, lows, ups, downs, and how many times Meri saw The Avengers. Mary Kate and her non-sexy old guy boyfriend

  • Christmas: the “other” C-word: Episode 8

    03/01/2013 Duración: 01h37min

All the happiness that only serious PMS (or PMDD) can bring. We're talking murderous rages and insatiable sexual appetites,  Broadcast style. Jennie, Meri and Deb talk the signs and symptoms of wanting to take a bitch out for no reason as well as the top five superheroes with whom they would like to get down and dirty. (Thank you, Batman! Thank you!) We know James Gunn got into a little hot water with the latter topic some time ago, but how can Mary Sue take issue with three women? Enough with all this women hating women! Can't we all just get along? (Batman is ours! Grrr.) Oh! We name our top five villains too, I think. Then, there's sex-toy-recycling questions and a poem by Jennie, written when her hormones first started to do battle with her brain.  Don't be scared. It's all in good fun. Maybe. Press play and pray... Then, head over to our facebook page where we will (eventually) have a poll on your top 10 sexy women in comics! Featured image stolen from The Hawkeye Initiative.

  • Sexual Sectional

    20/12/2012 Duración: 01h52min

In this episode we discuss that fine line between public and personal life. Everyone is guilty of occasionally oversharing personal details on the internet, but some of us just go too far! There's also a fine line between calling a sofa a "sectional" vs. a "sexual," as we also find out. Also in this episode, a special Christmas treat as we debut the "12 Days of Sexmas" with DJ and Justin of Your Music Show! They run a really fantastic podcast highlighting local music from the Hampton Roads area that we call home. As we chatted about creepers, boyfriends, and mushy Facebook couples, we took a few calls from listeners: Torres of Torres vs. Zombies, Darrell of DC Noise podcast and a half dozen other shows, Charlynn of Trek.fm, and Tommy V of the internet and Bored in the Basement apparel. If you'd like to participate on a future show, follow us on Facebook and Twitter and when we eventually decide on our next topic, you can call us at 757-541-CUNT and leave a voicemail! Even if we don't have a topic, call us

  • Spaghetti Taco Adventures

    06/12/2012 Duración: 01h56min

This week’s Broadcast - featuring Jennie, Meri, Lauren and Deb - begins at Jennie’s birthday party and ends inside the Cavalier Hotel during Blood at the Beach in Virginia Beach. As it turns out, parties suck as recording venues. Nonetheless, we roped fabulous party guest Laura Watkins into offering her opinion of the C-word, what some people consider, according to Wikipedia, the most offensive word for female genitalia ever. Then again, there’s always “spaghetti taco” if that’s even a real thing - kind of like the existence of a black lion in the wild or women who want sex as much as men (Hey! That one *is* a real thing). Also on tap, a short discussion on Selena Gomez and how the heck four 30-something women know who she is. SCREW YOU, "WIZARDS OF WAVERLY PLACE"!  Spill report: Even sober, Deb finds a way to spill a drink. OFFICIAL CORRECTION: in the show we mention an independent film project and accidentally called it "Coffin County Massacre." The actual name is Casket County Massacre. We apologize for a

  • G. Love and Pencil Sauce

    20/11/2012 Duración: 01h49min

This episode comes from a trio of Broads. Jennie, Lauren, & Meri talked about a vast array of topics. We started with some Con talk. MonsterFest, DragonCon, and some others. You'll find out in a future episode that us bitches like to go to Cons. Who knows, maybe you'll run into one of us at one. Don't be a creeper, though. We also talked about concerts. There are some awesome stories. Check them out. Also, listen to our BroadCast's Favorite Concerts playlist on Spotify! You must also listen to Jennie tell her tales of being a tough badass youth, worthy of being in a gang in whatever childhood movie you choose. So. There's also State Fair talk (care for some fried Twinkies? Too soon?) and a lesson was learned: Sometimes translating Google Voice transcripts makes for fun new phrases! As referenced in the show,  Rebecca makes great geeky items from recycled materials. If you're in need of a gift idea for someone this holiday season, this could be perfect! http://www.etsy.com/shop/rippingitdown

  • She’s got Steve Buscemi eyes……

    29/10/2012 Duración: 01h32min

Ah, here we have episode four of the Broads doing their thing.  In case you didn't know (Pay attention, kids!), we decided to do this in front of a camera, with our pal Lauren hanging out via satellite (or Google Hangout, details, shmetails).  If you didn't watch, you missed actually seeing Deb knock over more wine.  We're gonna need to put her in a bubble. Our theme revolved around the idea of guys being friends with us gals, whether it being platonic to begin with, exes, or just guys who like to share their love of inserting soap into their rectums.  As usual we veered away from this topic, but that's how we roll. Lauren also shared her top ten famous dudes she wants to bang, which included a certain actor with rather unusual eyes...  If only other people had his eyes...  Wait a moment! We also reveal our new phone number, where we encourage you to leave us funny messages, berate us (kidding - LOOOOOOOVE us), suggest topics, give it to d-bags who hit on you, whatever.  Just remember that if you do leave

  • A Geek Girl By Any Other Name…

    16/10/2012 Duración: 01h50min

This may be our wildest episode yet! We talk a little about the "geek girl" cultural phenomenon, and get a little catty about people who may  just be pretending to be geeks in order to get attention (from guys.) Jennie talks about Baltimore Comic Con, Tierney shares some guys on her "list" and Meri ends up soaking wet with her pants off... All in a day's work! This episode of BroadCast is sponsored by Save the Geek Girl Foundation International. For just 75 cents a day you can sponsor a fake geek girl with things like comic books and Starfleet uniforms so that she can learn to be a REAL geek girl. Please consider donating today. Images and links referenced on the show... Tattoo by Bennett Edwards, Virginia Beach Meri poses tastefully Tarzan, King of Baltimore Comic Con Tend Skin for razor bumps, ingrown hair, etc.

  • Eau de Phyllis Diller

    02/10/2012 Duración: 01h16min

The women of BroadCast discuss the late, legendary comedienne, Phyllis Diller. What makes "funny?" Is it different for male versus female comedians? Are funny women seen differently? And how the hell did we start talking about Stephen King, anyway? As referenced in the show, here's "The Count Censored" on Youtube, showing how censorship can actually make something FUNNIER than it would have been. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-Wd-Q3F8KM

  • Episode 1 is here!

    20/09/2012 Duración: 01h18min

The first episode of BroadCast is here at last! We introduce a few of our geeky hosts, Meri and Jennie list their top 10 hot guys, Deb talks about her gay ex-boyfriend, and we discuss the catty rivalry between Madonna and Lady Gaga. There were some technical problems for a good portion of the show (oddly enough, no one was drunk at this point so there's really no excuse) so please bear with us. Grey skies are gonna clear up...
