Free Mustard Seeds

On the 1st Sunday of Lent, we consider the invitation of Jesus to join him in the desert...to train our minds and flesh to be attuned to his passionate love.

We look at Mark 1:40-45 and the healing of the leper at the hands of Jesus and with Hannah's healing testimony, we consider the momentum from God's healing power the last four months at Holy Trinity Corktown as fuel for revival...

The beautiful testimony of Hannah, who's back and knee issues had her limping into the Church, receiving communion in the pew rather than coming forward due to pain and difficult moving...later walking out pain free and completely fine, praise Jesus!

After an evening of amazing healings and deliverances, we read in Mark 1:35 "rising very early before dawn, he left and went off to a deserted place where he prayed."  Jesus is the model for our lives as Christians and teaches us through His example, that prayer is the key to living in the Kingdom (life in union with God) here and now.

On Gaudete Sunday, we dive into Isaiah 61 and 1 Thessalonians 5 and consider the reality of living in God's presence as the very reason to do as the Lord tells us through St. Paul, "rejoice always." (1 Thes 5:16)

The testimony of Ingrid, who received breakthrough healing of an eye condition she'd had for over 10 years in addition to receiving healing of her back and neck as well.  GLORY TO GOD!!!

As we enter into the Advent season, we consider the grace of transformation the Lord is offering each of us and how we can respond...so as to live life more fully alive in the Holy Spirit!

On the Solemnity of Christ the King, we consider the compassionate heart of Christ, His reign in our lives and how to live well in His Kingdom now...so we'll be ready for eternity.

Matthew 5 recounts the beginning of the Sermon on the Mount given by Jesus.  The opening lines of this sermon are the teaching of Jesus on the Beatitudes, which the Catholic Church teaches "depict the countenance of Jesus Christ." (CCC, 1717)  We take a dive in this reflection into the Beatitudes, which when embraced and lived, give us the countenance of Jesus too!
