01/10/2017 Duración: 32minIt's now over 28 years since a fresh-faced Michael Chang became the first player of Asian origin to win a Grand Slam, that at the 1989 French Open and while Li Na has claimed two slams since then the closest any man has come since is Kei Nishikori’s runner-up spot at the 2014 US Open. Nishikori remains the continent’s preeminent player and will take up his challenge when he returns from injury in 2018, but in the meantime his absence is allowing others to forge growing reputations and during this programme we’ll hear from a number of them as the Asian swing gets underway with 500s in Beijing and Tokyo leading up to the latest masters 1000 event, the Shanghai Rolex Masters.
