Listening Well To The King

God's children's act like God's children.  They have faith in right things, they love the father, they love their brothers and sisters and they overcome the world.  Sweet!  Pastor Rick taught this message at CrossPoint Church

God loves us.  As we walk with Jesus, the Spirit enables believers to supernaturally and sacrificially love others like Jesus.  Since God’s love is no longer visible in the presence of the incarnate Christ here on earth, God is manifesting His love through His people.  What a privilege and a responsibility!

Love one another. Love others sacrificially like Jesus loved us.  If you weren't sacrifical, you didn't love.  If you don't love your brothers, it's like you have murdered them.  Wow, John's words are convicting and inspiring.  On the other hand, if we stay connected to Jesus and love like He loved... the church is going make quite the impact.

Pastor John reminds his flock about abiding with Jesus.  It makes all the difference during our lives now and for eternity.  Pastor Rick taught this message at CrossPoint Church.

Old Pastor John didn't want the church to be deceived by antichrists... folks who distorted who Jesus and God were.  John felt believers can battle well because they have the Spirit living in us who can illuminate the Word of God for us.  

It is critical for believers to walk with God so that we can love others like Jesus loved others.  We can love others like Jesus loved others because we have the same resources that Jesus had... that is the Holy Spirit and the Word.  A loving community is the shouts the Gospel.  Thank God for His grace in our lives.

If you walk with Jesus you will obey Him.  If you say you walk with Jesus but don't obey Him... you are a liar.  Pastor Rick talks about how obeying God means you love God well.  It is exciting to understand that Jesus modeled what a perfect relationship with the Father looks like and that we have the same resources as Jesus had 2,000 years ago.

Everyone who puts their faith in Jesus Christ, the son of God, has an Advocate and a Propitiation. Sin offends God and separates us from God. Christ's atoning sacrifice on the cross appeases God's wrath and enables all those in God's family to have a rich relationship with God. Pastor Rick teaches from 1 John 2:1-2.

You can't walk with God and NOT be in community.  If you walk with God, you will be in community.  Confessing our sin restores our relationships with God and with others.  Pastor Rick taught from 1 John 1:5-10

Gramps John is still excited about his relationship with Jesus.  He wants everyone to experience the joy he enjoys.  Pastor Rick teaches from 1 John 1:1-4.

Kadesh Barnea sets up our First John Study well.  Pastor Rick teaches about walking by faith, not by sight.  He digs into Deuteronomy 1 and Numbers 13 and 14.  A great challenge for 2022.

The wisemen followed a star to the Messiah... they worshiped and gave gifts.  This is an amazing story of faith and obedience which both convicts and inspires us.  Pastor Rick teaches from Matthew 2:1-12

God gave good news to the lowly shepherds, news that would bring joy to all people.  The angel said that the good news is: Jesus the Christ, our Savior and Lord has come!  That news is still changing lives today.

Mary said yes to God.  It would cost her to say yes to God, yet she loved her savior and desired to obey him.  We can learn much about God and about obedience from this story found in Luke 1.

Joseph had a dilemma.  He heard from God, trusted God... His faith grew.  God's Word changes our perspective.

This ends the Red Sea Rules Series.  Red Sea Rule Six is: Don't Forget to Praise God.  Moses and the Israelites erupted into worship once they saw the sea engulf their enemies.  Pastor Rick talked about how praise flows from a full heart... which means if you are not praising God, something is wrong.

Experiencing God's power helps you grow in your fear and faith of God.  Pastor Rick teaches from Exodus 14:23-31 where we learn about God's faithfulness.  Knowing God helps you trust God even when it doesn't make sense.

Red Sea Rule Four is Walk by Faith.  Leaders walk by faith and help others grow in their faith.  God set us all up well.  Pastor Rick shares ways on how to grow in our faith.

Rule 3 is: PRAY... stay calm and confident in God.  Pastor Rick focuses on the importance of prayer, especially when it feels like God has abandoned you.

Red Sea Rule Two is: acknowledge your enemy, but fix your eyes on God.  The enemy is powerful, but God is more powerful.  We will never regret fixing our eyes on Jesus and resisting the enemy.  Pastor Rick encouraged us to focus on God's promises and presence.
