Francisco Teixeira Barbosa graduated from the University Alfonso X El Sabio in Madrid, Spain in 2004. He moved his practice to Barcelona where he continued his education at Escuela Superior de Implantologia and as a dentist at the Maxillofacial department of Hospital del Mar at Barcelona. Dr. Jean Wu is on the Executive Council for Pacific Coast Society for Prosthodontics and a Past-President for the Academy of Microscope Enhanced Dentistry. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Orange County Dental Society. She was a Board member of the Orange County Dental Society in 2011 and Senior Delegate in 2012. Carrie started her dental career in Orange County California at the age of 17. She was hired as a dental assistant for a new doctor straight out of dental school and fell in love with the dental field. In 1998 she graduated from Sinclair College's EFDA course in Dayton Ohio, completing her state boards later that year. After settling in Arizona, her dental focus shifted to education. She worked for over 12 years with Maricopa Community College District dental programs, and in 2017 accepted the newly formed position “Coordinator for Expanded Function Dental Auxiliaries." Carrie was the first Certified EFDA in the State of Arizona. She helped lead the first graduating class of EFDA students and under her guidance, Phoenix College accounts for the most Certified EFDAs in the State of Arizona. Dr. Sherman A. House is currently in his second decade as a healthcare provider, and is a Hospital Dentist and Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Meharry Medical College in Nashville TN. Prior to his career in dentistry, Dr. House was a Fireman and Emergency Medical Technician in Washington State. Concurrently, he was an armed guard for several West Coast Armored Truck companies. Dr. Jim Bates, born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, attended Texas Tech University before graduating with honors both from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston and Texas Tech University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Sigrid I. Kvaal has worked actively as a forensic odontologist since 1987 and taken an active part in the identification work after mass disasters and in dental identifications following the recovery of single unidentified bodies. She has published articles on dental identification, age estimation and PDT (Photodynamic treatment) of oral lesions. Since 1995 she has been registered as a Forensic Medicine Expert in Odontology by the Ministry of Justice and Police, and The Commission for Forensic Medicine, Norway. Since 2001 been a member of the Norwegian Identification Commission (DVI) and at present she is the responsible forensic odontologist for the national team. Dr. Effie Greathouse earned a bachelor’s degree in wildlife, fish and conservation biology from the University of California, Davis, and a PhD in ecology from the University of Georgia, where she did research on freshwater shrimp and dams in tropical island streams. She did postdoctoral training at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, focusing on water quality and stream chemistry of the Oregon Coast Range, and then worked in stream chemistry database management with the U.S. Forest Service.
