A PASSAGE THAT IS EITHER MISINTERPRETED OR IGNORED? On Sunday, Paul will tell us something we don't often hear in contemporary Christian culture. A lot of us grew up hearing it ALL the time, and now we seem to be living through an overcorrection. It's all about how we relate to people who don't know Jesus and how we grow up in God's family. Understanding what the Bible says and putting it into practice allows us to grow into the people God wants us to be.

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF A CHRISTIAN MINISTER IS LEGIT? It’s a vital question. The Internet has fueled a fresh wave of self-appointed, poorly qualified people speaking for Jesus. Thankfully, the Bible answers this question in depth, and it is important that we know exactly what God says.

The Bible says that Christians are given glorious privileges and eternally weighty responsibilities. Being an ambassador for Christ is BOTH. Overall, would you say that we Christians are representing Christ well right now? How do you think we as a church are doing?

Rewards in heaven! What comes to mind when you read that? ARE there such things as heavenly rewards? If so, what about salvation by grace? Is it wrong to think about being rewarded in heaven? Isn’t salvation enough? These are some of the biblical ideas I periodically reteach at our church. I do so because though they are sometimes unknown, when they are understood, these truths have a transformational affect on our daily lives.

Life here is all too short, but then it goes on forever. This Sunday, the apostle Paul will teach us something about HEAVEN that many Christians fail to grasp. (Probably Bible teachers assume too much.) We will tackle that this Sunday, and I promise you, it's a GAME CHANGER.

A great danger is to spend our lives on things that do not matter. This Sunday we will open our Bibles in 2 Corinthians 4 to learn how to avoid that tragedy. The secret, according to Paul, is knowing who we are and where the treasure of eternal significance is found. It is a deeply encouraging passage, and I can't wait to open it with you!

There are a lot of people talking about Jesus. Some of them are really loud and they often contradict each other. We need to know how to be certain our life in Christ is genuine.

A quick check of the Christian section of a bookstore will show you many titles promising victory. Victorious families, victorious careers, victorious kids, victorious health, victorious… life! There is good reason for all of that interest, but when we gather for worship again on Sunday, I’ll show you that Christian victory may not be what you have been told. And you may just find it’s better!
