Walking In Truth

Have you ever been in a really, really dark place? Not metaphorically, but physically. Like during a total power outage? Or camping in the woods in the middle of the night? Today Pastor Johnny shares that Jesus is our spiritual light. If your life is in the dark – spiritually, He wants to come and turn on the light!

How often have we seen some dream of ours – something we really believed was for the Lord – fail? Pastor Johnny reminds us that when one thing comes to an end, God always has something in it that will lead to a new beginning. If you’re in that place of loss today, hold on to your hope in the providence of God.

If we do what God is calling us to do, it might create hardship. We might wonder, or worry, about the cost of following Him. But Pastor Johnny points out there is another cost to think about: the cost of not following. So, if you don’t want to miss out on God’s blessings, be diligent to seek and follow God’s leading.

Life throws us a lot of curve balls, and we often strike out. Things don’t always go as we want them to… as we think they should. But today, Pastor Johnny reminds us that no matter what happens, God is sovereign. So, when you face that setback or defeat in your life, lift up your eyes to the Throne of God.

Jesus teaches that anything put before Him is an idol. Do you have any idols in your life? Today, Pastor Johnny teaches that idols can come in many shapes and sizes. They can seem innocent, like working too much. Or they can have a serious impact on your health and relationships, like alcohol.

Today’s topic… greed. Sure, you may be heavily invested in real estate, and if that’s working out for you, great. But in today’s message, Pastor Johnny teaches that Isaiah condemns those who invest in excess, out of their greed. Provide for your family, provide for your future, but don’t let it become an idol.

Every day, you will make mistakes. That’s not a knock against you or your character, but that’s the reality of living in a fallen world. However, Pastor Johnny teaches that every day, Jesus is working to refine you and make you more like Him. Through daily dedication to the Lord, you are growing.

The world sure is proud of a sinful lifestyle, isn’t it? It seems that every TV show glorifies sin in some way, whether it’s lying, hubris, sex, drunkenness, or something else. In today’s message, Pastor Johnny warns against this sinful lifestyle and encourages you to seek the ways of the Lord.

The world is truly wicked... so how in the world are you to keep the world from ripping you or your children to shreds? Look around. What do you see? Do you see love? Do you see light? I know that I don’t. I see hatred, fighting, and selfishness. You have a glorious Savior Who paid the price of your sin so that you wouldn’t have to.

Evil lies in wait… waiting to pounce on anyone who crosses its path. It’s hungry and aggressive. In today’s message, Pastor Johnny teaches that sin is dangerous, and wants to tear you to pieces. Look how much it has twisted the world. Today, call on the Holy Spirit to help guide your path and protect you from sin.

Being a Christian does not require you to be perfect. In fact, Jesus wants you to come to Him in your brokenness, so He can make you whole. Today, Pastor Johnny will teach you that despite this, God wants to guide you to live as a model to unbelievers. He wants you to live in a way that points people toward Christ.
