In today's world, we often seek convenience. We can have food delivered to our homes or get a ride with just a few taps on our phones. Many people expect a similar level of ease when they approach Christianity. However, Pastor Johnny reminds us that there is no shortcut to eternal life; the only way is through Jesus Christ.

Often in life, we strive to take control over every aspect of our lives. It's human nature to want things to go our way. But when it comes to eternal life, it’s important to understand that it isn’t something we can earn. Today, Pastor Johnny wants you to know that salvation is a gift based on what Jesus has already done.

The Holy Spirit is a wonderfully generous gift from God. While our salvation is indeed sealed by the Spirit, God could’ve simply left it at that. However, as Pastor Johnny discusses in his message today, it’s through God’s Spirit that we’re made aware of our shortcomings, and by His Spirit, we get the strength to change.

Have you ever been a part of a Church meeting and noticed that the plans discussed seem to center around those involved, rather than God? While it’s good to use our abilities for the Kingdom, Pastor Johnny reflects on the importance of making sure that it’s God behind our plans, not just our own abilities. 

The Old Testament is filled to the brim with allusions and depictions of Christ. All we have to do is discover them with a little diligence and cross-referencing. In today’s message, Pastor Johnny reflects on the depictions of Christ found in the Old Covenant practices that Israel was instructed to follow.

Nothing can be more comforting than to know God is in control, next to the comfort of our own salvation, of course. The question we need to ask ourselves is whether or not we’re living in that comfort. It can be demoralizing to look at someone who just seems to have way more success than you despite coming from the same roots. But Pastor Johnny encourages you to rejoice in the success of your brother or sister, instead of letting comparison and envy rob you of your joy. Thank the Lord for what He has given you!

Life can be quite a rollercoaster of emotions. One day, you’re feeling great and on top of the world, and one phone call or bad day can send you spiraling into a season of depression. Pastor Johnny encourages you to hold onto the Lord in those times and to remember that those low points are opportunities for you to trust in Him.

It is a wise decision to wait on the Lord’s timing for things, because His ways are higher than our own. But Pastor Johnny warns us today not to let that lull us into a place of complacency. We shouldn’t be inactive while waiting on the Lord, we should be doing good work for the Kingdom wherever we find ourselves.

Just showing up to church every week isn’t enough to save you from the penalty of sin. The Bible warns you that even some people you think are “good” in life will not make it into Heaven in the last days. Pastor Johnny reminds you that only a relationship with Jesus Christ will redeem you from the sting of death.

Sin can hide in every corner of your life if you allow it to fester and grow. You may be able to hide your sin from the people around you, but Pastor Johnny warns you that you can’t hide your sin from God! The Lord can see into the deepest, darkest places of your soul, even the ones you have hidden from yourself.

We as humans need to focus our attention and devotion on something in order to function properly. Pastor Johnny teaches us today that there are many things we can give our attention to, but the only one that will bring us lasting peace is the Kingdom of God. Worldly things will never satisfy that craving in our hearts.

Idols are still real today. They’re not just old statues that people used to worship in place of God, but they are all around us and are probably parts of our regular lives. In today’s message, Pastor Johnny will remind you that anything can become an idol if it replaces God. So, that could be your finances, family, your phone, and even your job.

If we’re feeling like God is somehow failing us, then it is pertinent that we take a close look at where we are and what we’re doing. In today’s message, Pastor Johnny will remind you that God doesn’t fail… if you’re feeling let down, ask yourself, “When was the last time I prayed or read my Bible in obedient pursuit of God?”.

No matter what is going on in the world or what state our society and even government are in, Jesus Christ doesn’t change! That means His prevailing goodness in our lives won’t end…ever!!!
