1 John 1:8-10. When it comes to sin, we are doing 1 of three things. We are either deceiving ourselves into believing we have no sin, or calling God a liar because we don’t admit our sin, or confessing those sins and getting forgiveness and new life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Where are you?

1 John 1:5-7. There is no sin in God, that is why you and I need to be sin free to come to God. Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? It’s the only way to get sin free.

John 1:5. Jesus is shining the Light into the darkness of our world. Are you following that Light, or have you rejected that Light?

1 Corinthians 10:6, 11. These things that Paul had written are there to serve as examples to us. Examples of what not to do.

1 Corinthians 10:7-10. We see the word “neither” starting out each verse in these passages. That is significant because Paul is teaching us that these things should not be part of our life. Look at the list he provides, are any of these vices found in your life?

First Corinthians 10:1-5, Numbers 11:1-6, Philippians 3:13-14. Let the past be past. Your past is not going to help you get to your future. For Israel, as they were marching through the wilderness heading to their promised land, they could not let go of the good things of the past. They wanted the past more than they wanted the future. They all had seen the mighty hand of God at work to get them to where they were, but they didn’t trust that mighty hand to get them where they were going. Do you trust the mighty hand of God for your future, or are you going to cling to the good things of the past?

Psalm 84:10, 4. Once you experience the presence of God, there is nothing else like it. Do you desire the presence of God in your life?

Exodus 33:15, Acts 16:6, 2 Thessalonians 2:18, Genesis 12:1-4. We have got to make sure, above all else, that we continually stay in the presence of God.

Ezekiel 36:26, Ephesians 4:22-24, Romans 12:2. We must choose each day whether or not we are going to live for God or live for ourselves. In today’s study, we look at Paul’s instructions to put off the old man and put on the new. Have you changed clothes yet?

Ezekiel 36:27, Galatians 5:16-17. We are called to follow His statutes and judgements, and to do them. It becomes easier the more our trust in God develops and grows. Are you trusting God with things today?

Ezekiel 36:26-27. Just like we need a new heart to truly and fully follow Jesus, we need a new spirit as well. Our new spirit that God will give us will do two things. What are they? Listen in.

Ezekiel 36:26, Psalm 119:11. We need to make sure we take time each day to hide a bit of the word of God in the heart. Two reasons. It will help us when we come to times of trial, and it will help keep our heart focused on the things of God.

Ezekiel 36:26, Proverbs 3:5. If you are going to trust God, then you must do it fully, not wavering, not doubting. You must trust God with ALL your heart.

Ezekiel 36:26, Psalm 51:10. We must ask God, daily, for a clean heart. Then we must guard that clean heart so it doesn’t fall back into being a deceitful heart like we once had.

Ezekiel 36:26, Proverbs 4:23. We must be sure we ask God to guard our hearts, protect our hearts.

Ezekiel 36:26, 25, Jeremiah 17:9. This week, we are going to see if we need a little heart surgery. We need to make sure our heart is in tune with God, helping us to do His will and being able to hear from Him. But, we need to make sure that God has replaced our stony heart with a tender, responsive heart. Has he done that for you?

Mark 12:41-44. As Jesus was watching the people give into the treasury. Many of the people gave out of their excess. But then this old widow came and gave a few cents. What seems insignificant to others was all she had. Are you truly giving God all we got?

First Kings 19:9-13. We need to always be sure we are where we are supposed to be. Elijah had just come off some big spiritual victories,and I am sure that his faith was at an all time high in God. yet, because of a threat from a woman, he runs away and hides in a cave. Not where Elijah was supposed to be. Are you hiding in a cave today?

John 6:15-21. Does it seem like your life is about to be overtaken by the problems of this world? If so, let Jesus in the boat. He can calm you and the things around you.

John 6:67-69. So many of the “disciples” of Jesus turned away from Him at a hard teaching, one they either didn’t understand or was offended by. Yet the inner 12 stayed with Him, because they knew He was the Messiah. How many times have you ran away from Jesus because you didn’t understand something you read in the Bible, or you didn’t like they way He answered your prayer?
