James 4:6-10. For many, the idea that we can draw near to God seems impossible. They feel that God is too far away to have a close relationship with us. Nothing is further from the truth. In fact, God WANTS a relationship with you.

Romans 12:17-21. In these verses, Pau is urging us to live out the Christian life. How? By repaying evil with good. by helping those who don’t like us.

1 Peter 2:9-10. We are called to be different than the world. How is the world going to know it needs Jesus if the church lives so much like the world?

Psalm 51:10-13. When David was confronted with his sin with Bathsheba, he confessed his sin to God, and sought God’s forgiveness. That is what we need to do when we realize the sin in our lives.

Selected verses from John 9. Please read the entire chapter to get the complete story, as I just give the highlights in this episode. Basically, Jesus healed a man born blind, and healed him on the Sabbath. Of course, that set the Pharisees off and angered them. They questioned the man born blind, questions his parents, and made it look like it was one big conspiracy. How does people’s opinions and beliefs about Jesus affect you and your relationship with Him?

Selected Verses from the Gospels. Not much is written about Mary Magdalene. There is much speculation about her involvement with other Gospel accounts. This morning, I present the facts of Scripture about Mary Magdalene and her faithfulness to her Lord. Use her story to strengthen your faith in your Lord.

Mark 10:46-52. Blind Bartimeus encountered Jesus outside of Jericho. He was a blind beggar, but not after he had an encounter with Jesus.

Luke 19:1-10. Today we are studying Zaccheus. This man was a publican (tax collector) and probably one of the most hated people in the city. Yet, Jesus still abode at his house. As a result, Zaccheus was converted, and his conversion was proven by his statements in verse 8. He had changed, and that change proved his faith and proved his salvation.

Ephesians 4:21-24. In these passages of Scripture, it is clear that there must be a change in our lives if we have given our lives to Jesus. The rest of the week, we will look at real life examples of people that had a encounter with Jesus, and walked away changed.

Selected verses from 1 Kings 18 & 19. The devil may have a big, nasty bark. But, for the Christian, he has no bite. Don’t let the devil keep you from doing the work God has for you.

James 1:5-8. One reason our prayers go unanswered is because we are double minded, we are wavering. The Bible says that if we waver in our faith, we should not expect anything from God, and that includes answered prayers. Are you wavering in your faith today? If so, confess it to God, and He will help you develop a strong faith, a faith that can move mountains.

Psalm 139:23-24 and selected verses. In Psalm 139, we see a prayer that we need to incorporate into our lives. It’s a difficult prayer, and one that might bring pain, but is beneficial so we can get things right with God.

Again, selected verses. Are you truly a saved, disciple of Jesus?

Selected verses. Salvation is a gift from God, discipleship is what we are called to. Is the faith you claim to have a faith that can move you to do what God has called, or one that can’t move you out of your seat?

Philippians 3:3-10. Tough Teaching Alert. This episode is not for the faint of heart. Paul is teaching us that everything he attained in life, he looks at as dung, for the knowledge of Jesus. Paul put it all on the line for Jesus, are you willing to do the same?

Selected verses from Acts 7, 8, 9. Paul, on his way to Damascus to arrest Christians, had a life changing encounter with Jesus. That encounter got him on the right path.

Matthew 25:31-46. In these passages, we get a glimpse into the Judgment, the end of time. We will ALL stand before the Lord. That is not the time to find out you were on the wrong track, the wrong path. Take time today, I plead with you, to make sure you are where God wants you to be, doing what God wants you to do. Make sure you have given your life to Jesus.
