Don't have a verse 23 in Romans chapter 14 of your Bible? The Majority Text does, and most Greek manuscripts add Paul's closing doxology to the end of Chapter 14, which we look at today! (14:24) Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began,(14:25) but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the eternal God, for obedience to the faith--(14:26) To the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever! Amen

Today on the Gospelstudy podcast we continue our look at Christian Liberty regarding food, and the freedom to eat whatever we like, as long as we don't offend another brother by what we eat. Join us! Today we start chapter 14 of Romans on Gospelstudy Rom 14:7-9  For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself.  (8)  For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's.  (9)  For to this end Christ died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living.

Today the Apostle Paul tells us it is high time to wake up, and to be roused out of sleep! (13:11) ​And do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for us to be roused out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. (13:12) ​The night is advanced, the day is at hand. Therefore let us put off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. (13:13) ​Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelries and drinking bouts, not in orgies and debaucheries, not in strife and jealousy. (13:14) ​But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, for its lusts.

Today we look at Galatians 1:6--"​I marvel that you are turning so quickly from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, (1:7) ​which is not another; except there are certain people who trouble you and wish to pervert the gospel of Christ." Again, as Paul teaches in this letter, salvation is "sola gratia, sola fide," By grace alone, through faith alone! 

We have started a new Book, Galatians. The theme of Galatians is that Faith plus ANYTHING for salvation is utter heresy, and won't be tolerated by the Apostles. Join us today for program 2 in our study of Galatians!

(1:1) ​Paul, an apostle (not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised Him from the dead), (1:2) ​and all the brothers with me, To the churches of Galatia: (1:3) ​Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ..."

Today we focus our attention on Romans 13:7, which says: "Render therefore to all their dues: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor." Join us today for the Gospelstudy podcast!

We look today at submitting to the governing authorites, even when they are evil. Rom 13:1-2  Let every soul submit to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except by God, and the authorities that exist are instituted by God.  (2)  Consequently the one resisting the authority has opposed the ordinance of God, and those opposing shall receive judgment to themselves.

Today we start chapter 13: Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. Or, as the King James Version has it,  "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God."

Rom 12:15-21  Rejoice with those that rejoice, and weep with those that weep.  (16)  Be of the same mind toward one another. Not minding the high things, but associating with the humble. Do not become wise in your own opinion.  (17)  Repay no one evil for evil; providing that which is good before all men.  (18)  If possible, as much as depends on you, keeping peace with all men.  (19)  Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but give place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord.  (20)  Therefore "If your enemy should hunger, feed him; if he should thirst, give him drink; for by doing this you will heap coals of fire upon his head."  (21)  Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Today on the Gospelstudy podcast we look at hospitality, as well as blessing those who curse us. Rom 12:13-14  sharing in the needs of the saints, pursuing hospitality.  (14)  Bless those that persecute you; bless and do not curse.
