Cousin Max, The Professor and a few studio audience members took a roadtrip down to the DC Beer Fest to see what it was all about. The Beer Mistress, Jasen, and special guest star Erin try some Ugandan Beer! It does not go well. We try three different beers popular in Uganda - that country you get to by going to Somalia and turning left - while discussing rivers, traffic, and literary pub crawls. Also, the Beer Mistress gives the best advice she can muster for anyone traveling to Africa!

Long time listener Sean Valentine invites the Mistress and Jasen over for a cup of tea. Or rather, Stout. Flying Fish’s Green Tea Imperial Stout is served up (along with dinner, thinks this jealous Rogue) and another local MD beer, Heavy Seas Pegleg Imperial Stout. After some small difficulty opening the oft praised cage and cork beers, we get to hear their insights and Sean prepared some trivia to test this team’s knowledge. How will they do?

This week we got to try one of the hard to find beers, Hopslam. The Mistress went on an epic shopping spree during which she picked up an entire case of these lovely bottles of joy from Bells and since this is Just Jasen’s favorite beer we decided we should probably let him podcast about it.
