Ashlee started to run track as a Junior at the Walla Walla High School (Washington state). She ran both cross country and track the Washington State University from 2007-2011. After college, she competed in the Seattle Rock n’ Roll marathon and ran my fastest marathon to date (3:09). She also ran 2017 Boston Marathon 14 weeks pregnant. Once she started to take on running, she did not need the help of anti-depression. As she was making progress in her running journey, she lost her biggest fan and supporter - her father – due to Pancreatic Cancer. Since a sudden loss of her father, she has taken her life mission to fight Pancreatic Cancer through running and support cause by raising funds for search. In recent years, Julie ran 52 marathons in 52 weeks to raise over $400,000. Julie is also one of seven featured runners in the inspiring documentary "Spirit of the Marathon II". Julie ran her 100th marathon at the 2016 Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon and is now working on a book to be released in 2018.
