A typical day in the life of the apostles was extraordinary because of the power of the Holy Spirit working through them. Pastor Doug Sauder shares an example of this from Acts chapter 3: Peter and John noticed a blind man, prayed for his healing, and used the resulting miracle to witness to the truth of the gospel, so that thousands were converted.

Continuing in our study of the Book of Acts, Pastor Billy Venezia led us through a birthday celebration, as Act 2 tells the story of the birth of the Church. We saw that the coming of the Holy Spirit turned regular “nobodies” into powerful proclaimers of the gospel, and what can happen when the church comes together.

We have a mission to go out into the world and be a witness for Christ—and it's not because we're qualified or perfect for the job. This weekend, we launched our new teaching series in the Book of Acts as Pastor Chet introduced us to the early days of the Church. We know that as Jesus came to earth to light a fire, His intent was to give us His Spirit, so that we too could spread the fire of the gospel across the world. Christ was crucified, died, and rose again so that we can experience the baptism of His Holy Spirit—the fire from above.

Have you ever been afraid to be a witness to someone? Continuing through the Book of Luke, Pastor Doug Sauder examines the most severe public challenges to Jesus' authority ever recorded. Jesus turned these harsh confrontations into incredible teaching opportunities.

Continuing the series, Minor Prophets Major Message, Pastor Chris Baselice teaches through chapter two of Habakkuk. This message grapples with God's sovereignty and goodness, and what it means to live by faith when your life seems as though it's in its darkest times.

Have you ever asked God, "Why is this happening to me?" Sometimes we look at life and nothing about it makes sense. In this message, Pastor Doug Sauder reminds us no circumstance or trial is too big for God's hands and challenges us to stop asking God "Why?" and start asking "What's next?" Passion is an intense feeling or conviction that God gives us for a reason. A disciple will channel his passion, not into fulfilling his own desires, but into things of eternal value that matter to God: stewardship, obedience, and worship. Like Jesus, a disciple will also be passionate about reaching the lost and honoring the church as a place of prayer.

Though we don't know what God looks like, the Bible paints a clear picture of His character. As we study the prophet Zephaniah's words to God's people, we see that God is relational, faithful, instructional, glorious, and loving. As we learn God's character, our worshipful response brings Him glory.
