It's hard when you find yourself in God's waiting room, but it's here that He builds your character. This is what God did for Nehemiah, a man of patience and prayer. Nehemiah understood that God needed to build the walls of his heart before he could rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. In this message, Pastor Billy Venezia challenges us to consider prayer and patience as building blocks in the shaping of our character.

Usually our first instinct when something arises is to take action, but God would have us response differently. This weekend, we kicked off our “Build” study with a message from Nehemiah 1 as Pastor Doug shared that when God places a burden on our hearts, we need to take time to process it with prayer and fasting instead of acting impulsively.

In a celebration of thirty years of making disciples since the founding of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, Pastor Doug Sauder shares scriptures, stories, and insights on how God has used many people to bring thousands to Christ through the ministry happening at this church. Video clips present testimonies from several pastors sent from here to start other churches, and show many people through the years praying to receive Christ.

Pastor Doug wraps up the Book of Acts in chapter 28 by walking us through the final trial of the apostle Paul. Through Paul's journey, we see how his incredible tenacity, to speak God's truth wherever he goes, has been key to spreading the gospel from Ancient Jerusalem all the way to Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale. This proves the end of Acts isn't the end of the story and the revolution is still on!

In today's study we find Paul's journey rocked by a storm, but despite the foreboding circumstances he is unshaken. When it appears all hope is lost, Paul takes a stand and encourages the men aboard his ship to take heart. Here we find Paul's true character revealed under crisis along with a simple but valuable lesson—it's always too soon to quit.

As we look at the last few chapters in the Book of Acts, we see that Christianity has been put on trial. Both the Jewish world and the Roman Empire are trying to figure out why, from city to city, the faith of this growing group of believers is turning the world upside down. Focusing on chapters 25 and 26, Pastor Doug shares a message centered around the gospel, that is as relevant to us today as it was in the first century.

Last week we journeyed with Paul on a collision course to Jerusalem, not knowing if this mission would be his last. This week, we find Paul's faithful obedience to the will of God—confident in knowing that the court of man is in the hands of God.

As Pastor Joe Ferraro wraps up our series in 1 Peter titled, “Immovable,” we learn we are led well by our Shepherd—Jesus—and we should use Him as our model when leading our families and the people we influence.

In Acts chapters 21 and 22, we find Paul's faith challenged as he is driven by the Spirit to Jerusalem, despite being cautioned that it may cost his life. However, where God guides He also provides. Here we see God's practical provision as He gives Paul a faithful friend to journey with him, and later, deliverance from the hands of his accusers.

In Acts 20, Pastor Billy shows us how faithful friends are a necessity when going through the storms of life. They can help us stay awake spiritually, remind us of God's grace after we fall, and keep our motivation to follow the Lord one of servanthood as opposed to self-seeking. When you serve the Lord continually, in His grace and with the right motivation, you will see that nothing else can do what the Word of God can do.

Idol worship was running rampant everywhere the Apostle Paul carried the Gospel. As Boca Campus Pastor Jerry Sander teaches through our Bible study series in Acts, we learn the obstacles to the Gospel first century Christians faced were not unlike the obstructions present day believers deal with.

As Pastor Jeff Denis picks up our midweek Immovable series, we're reminded that our response to trials is a sacred opportunity to point others to Jesus, and that our suffering looks a whole lot different when viewed through the eternal lens of Scripture.

Paul is on a mission to spread the gospel, but he finds himself rejected, beaten, and scorned in every city he sets foot. You represent the sum total of the choices of your life. As Pastor Alan Platt continues our series in the Book of Acts, we learn that Scripture invites us to a level of making choices that goes a level beyond right and wrong. This involves wisdom, maturity, and discerning the will of God.

Continuing in our Immovable message series through the Book of 1 Peter, Pastor Chris Baselice challenges us to live our lives considering the cost of Jesus' blood. We have uncompromising promises through God, but we also have commands . . . to be hopeful, to be holy, to live a God-fearing life, and to fervently love one another. Why? For the glory of God—so people will see God's perfection and works through His people and be drawn to Him despite the trials, pain, and hardship we may face.
