It has been a long time since we have gotten together for a show, and again, year after year, we say goodbye to another potential legacy player move out of the organization. This time though, we don’t seem as upset about Spezza moving on vs. Alfredsson last year. Is it because we got something in return? Is it that the team doesn’t seem to be a contending team next season? Is it that half of the fans have always been down on Spezza? We get some familiar faces back with Michalek staying and add a bit of experience and leadership with the addition of Legwand. We've switched roles as hosts, and it's been an interesting experience.   We summarize the last game of the season, the post-season press conferences of Eugene Melnyk, Bryan Murray (we didn't bother to talk about Cyril Leeder as Pan already had enough math in the show) and give our opinions about where we think the team is going, where we want it to go, and how it might turn out. Thanks to all our guests, emailers, contributors and listeners.   We'll likely be back at some point during the summer (after the draft and free agent frenzy) and then in the fall. GO SENS GO!

The Senators are officially eliminated from the playoffs and yet SOMEHOW end up higher than the Leafs. It’s not that the Sens are better than the Leafs. It’s that the Leafs are that bad! - Habs 7 @ Sens 4 - Sens 3 @ Rangers 2 - Sens 4 @ Islanders 1 - Devils 1 @ Sens 2 - Leafs 0 @ Sens 1 Bobby Ryan looks like he wants to stay and talk extension and Zibanejad is held out of the lineup after going to hospital during the Devils game. We look at some news around the team, league and prospects and finish up with a couple e-mails. Kardinal also shares his weekend wound stories. We’re shockingly in a good mood considering that this is pretty much the end of the line for the team, but we also touch on some news around the team including the injury to Bobby Ryan, and news from him and Hemsky with the objective of resigning with the Sens in the summer. It wouldn’t be an episode without laughing at the Leafs, so we do that for a couple minutes. WHY YOU NO E-MAIL THE SHOW????

Well, there isn’t much, if anything, positive to say in this episode.  The Sens have been abysmal in the completion of the Western trip and haven’t been much better at home.    - Sens 2 @ Oilers 3  - Sens 1 @ Flames 4  - Sens 5 @ Jets 3  - Preds 4 Sens 3 (OT)  - Sens 4 @ Habs 5 (OT)  - Avs 3 @ Sens 1  - Rangers 8 @ Sens 4   The Sens say goodbye to Conacher, say hi to Hemsky and an extension of Chris Phillips for two more years…   There’s been lots of anger, grief and frustration on the twitterverse and blogosphere.  To help us talk about this, we call up @Fffeisty from twitter to talk about the emotions and reactions of a devoted fan.

In this week's episode, we get ready for the trade deadline.  in a Corvo and Comrie-ish move, we bring back Russell (@RussellSU1) from the old Sens Underground!  We had the Heritage Classic this week and had one pretty good game and a really bad game.  - Red Wings 6 @ Sens 1  - Sens 4 @ Canucks 2 We get (only) one e-mail which gest us going on multiple Sens trade rumours and seeing what good ol' Tim Murray is up to.  Brief chatter around the Olympics and some of the rule differences between the Olympics and the NHL.

We have had lots of games to recap. Kassian also gets more discussion than ice time. Spezza haters get facts thrown at them and we look at Bingo and the game played up in Ottawa. This week, another 0.500 week for the Sens on the ice. The Sens end up with half the points that they could have gotten this year with some lack luster play. That said, they’re still deep in the playoff race.  - Habs 5 @ Sens 4 (OT)  - Rangers 4 @ Sens 1  - Sens 2 @ Caps 0 #ThanksObama   Marc Methot missed a game and seems to be in a bit of hot water with the coaching staff, or is it an opportunity to showcase others? We get interactive with various tweets and e-mails, talk about the debacle in Vancouver/Calgary and other news around the league. Will this team make the playoffs? Will there be a trade soon? Will Phillips continue to point and random things? We’ll find out!

This week has been pretty much good news for the Sens (and for Pan’s new car). Lots of points earned and re-upping Bryan Murray for a couple more years and retaining and promoting Randy Lee and Pierre Dorion to retain the brain trust of the executive.  - Sens 3 @ Avs 4 (OT)  - Sens 2 @ Preds 1  - Sens 3 @ Wild 0   Murray and Melnyk promise better results on the ice with better options. This means higher ticket prices but also much better experience at the arena and game. We read some e-mail and tweets and thanks go out to the donors. Lots of key games coming up as the race to the playoffs continues!

It’s still been an up and down week for the Sens. Speaking of up and down, (TWSS) JGP and Cody Ceci come up to the big team. Both make a big impression on the team by potting goals in the St. Louis game. Things are looking better... or worse...  - Buffalo 1 @ Sens 2 Yup yup yup  - LA 5 @Sens 2 Nope nope nope  - Blues 2 @ Sens 3 Yup yup yup Kardinal and Pan bicker to the point where we forget what we're talk about and then end up on the same side. In this week, more of the same!  - Sens 1 @ Lightning 3  - Leafs 4@ Sens 3 (SO)  - Flyers 4 @ Sens 5 (SO)  - Sens 1 @ Buffalo 2 (SO)   There’s some news on the Sens with Hoffman going back to Bingo and Cowen suspended for 2 games which a lot of people were hoping that he sat out anyway. Shootouts are apparently fun. Lots of stuff around the league and we get some good e-mails - WHY YOU NOT EEEEEMAIILL HAAAARDAAAAAH

It was somewhat of an emotional week with Alfie coming back to town for the first time, but still lots of news with the new Heritage Jerseys and a surprising 500 win percentage.  - Sens 6 @ Caps 4  - Canucks 5 @ Sens 2  - Red Wings 4 @ Sens 2  - Sens 4 @ Panthers 2   We announce the winner of our Sens Call Ups contest and read out the very touching e-mail from our winner.  We need more e-mails and more action on the forums.  Tell your friends!

The results on the ice continue to waver and there doesn’t seem to be a clear front runner as a constant in goal.  - Wild 4 at Sens 3  - Sens 2 at Red Wings 4  - Sens 1 at Hurricanes 4 Not much happens news wise with the Sens, except for the Rangers declining taking a pile of spare parts for Del Zotto, but we look at the news of the new Canadian National TV contract. Pan does more math with the Forbes article on valuations and we read no e-mail.

The Sens still struggle in the win column and everyone tries to look for answers.
