Your favorite talking head internet pals return with the first Sockscast of 2019, jam-packed with all sorts of topics that have just been building up and building up over the course of the holidays. Rhete's got himself some videogames to talk about as well as some anime ABOUT videogames, Polly has found the perfect game that exemplifies everything that is John Thyer, and John's gonna get all touchy and feely with Heaven...in more ways than one!

Another year with your pals at the Sockscast draws to a close as we put the big red stamp on 2018 by counting down our individual top five games played over the last year. Lots of great games in store and a completely bonkers surprise or two!

Yo, you wanna get your earholes jam packed and full of the absolute best tunes that 2018 had to offer? Well, Taylor and Polly got ya covered as they wind down the Top 10 Albums of 2018 with entries 5-1, which may feature a crazy coincidence or two and maybe a surprise here and there. 2018 almost feels like a bit of a blur games-wise, but that doesn't mean your pals at the Sockscast don't still have things on lockdown as they dive head first into their own personal top 10 Games of 2018 lists, and try to figure out if people who sent in contributed lists are "users" or "listeners." Today, we'll be having a look at entries 10 through 6.

2018 may have started off as a bit of a sleeper year for the music scene, but that doesn't mean that it eventually got itself in gear and provided some of the best music Polly and Taylor have heard in a good long while. Today, they'll be counting down their number 10 through 6 picks for the best ten albums of 2018!

Welcome to the last regularly scheduled Sockscast until the Game of the Year 'casts taking place at the end of the year! In this episode, John is positively overhwlemed, Rhete joins forces with anthropomorphic animals to avenge the death of Sonic The Hedgehog, and Polly is left a little unimpressed by her duties as an Underhero.

Sockscast Episode 84 is a tale of two podcasts! Polly was deathly ill for the first half, but two weeks later returned to life and was able to recount her journey through the end of both Persona 5 and Steins;Gate 0. After that, John played himself a whole crapton of JRPGs, and Rhete's (surprise, surprise) been watching himself a whole lotta Japanese Cartoons. And after all that's done, we have ourselves a little half-hour discussion about Toby Fox's DELTARUNE and everything that entails.

Well, here we are again to do what the Sockscast do what with all the mouth flapping and opinion having. Today on the show, John's experiencing one of the greatest works of science fiction ever, Rhete is playing a game that's a much better .hack//, and Polly's on the grind toward the end of Persona 5.

Special Guest After5 joins the Sockscast today to take us on a massive journey that will span the entire episode though his aptly titled Falcom Frenzy. All manner of things Ys and Trails will be discussed, and on top of all that, Rhete's back on his Yakuza thing again and being a contrarian, John's got a bit of a curiosity bug about trading card games, and Polly reached the top of the mountain, but was it worth it? And Bowsette...for some reason...

In this episode, John's still got something against magical girls and can't quit shooting bullets at them, Polly's become a bit of a mad scientist, and Rhete's slipped into a whole new dimension...

Together, we get into a deep dive on upcoming speedrunning events and the art of speedrunning as a whole!
