The Church at Smyrna suffered great persecution. They lost everything. Yet Jesus said that they were rich, and He promised to reward them for their steadfast faith.

Jesus dictated seven letters to the churches of Asia. The first went to the church at Ephesus. Even though they did a lot of great things, they left their first love behind. Their love for Jesus was growing cool.

This is the first sermon in a series on the Book of Revelation. This last book of the Bible ties all of Scripture together. Jesus Christ takes His rightful place as King of kings and Lord of lords.

Not only did Jesus save us from our sins, He also exalted us to kings and priests.

God gives us messages to guide and help us. We see this in how He dealt with Joseph and the Magi.

Christmas is over. Now what? Life, with all its trials, goes on. Christmas means that Immanuel, God with us, is with us every day and helps us.

God broke into our existence when Jesus was born. God's Son came into the world in the humblest of circumstances. He grew up to die for us and save us from our sins. We look at how God became Jesus.

The fourth Advent Candle is the Candle of Love. What more could God do to demonstrate His love for us than giving His only Son to save us from our sins?

The second Advent Candle is the Candle of Peace. The angels who announced Christ's birth to the shepherds delivered God's message of peace and goodwill to everyone.

The four Advent Candles tell the story of Israel's long wait for her Messiah and our long wait for His return. Today we'll look at the first candle, the Candle of Hope. God's hope sustains us through our trials and as we wait.

As we pause to remember God's blessings with thankful hearts let us also move beyond merely giving thanks to living it. That's ThanksLiving!

We have a fan base in heaven! A multitude of those who have gone before us are cheering us on as we run the race of life.

This first Psalm lays out the difference between the blessings of righteousness and the deception of sin.

Jesus had more to say about money than any other subject. He told us that we can't buy true security no matter how rich we may be. Only God can give us that.

No one could accuse King Jehu of being half-hearted! He was all in for the Lord.

Even though Jonah was more successful than any other prophet of Israel, he wasn't happy. He had hoped that God would destroy Nineveh, but He relented from His judgment against them. This offended Jonah and he went off and sulked.

No other prophet achieved greater success with less effort than Jonah. His eight-word declaration of God's judgment on Nineveh led the people to repent and seek God.

In the belly of the great fish, Jonah found himself in a sort of grave. He could do nothing but think and pray. God worked on his heart and the fish vomited him out.

The Prophet Jonah thought he could escape God by running away. God caught the fugitive prophet and taught him a lesson. This is the first sermon in a series on Jonah.
