  • Choosing Spiritual Freedom

    10/06/2024 Duración: 01h27min

Today on Karl and Crew Mornings, we kicked off our theme for the week: Making Choices. We discussed making the choice between spiritual freedom and spiritual slavery. Our Scripture Reference was Galatians 4:21-5:1. Paul uses the story of Hagar and Sarah from the book of Genesis to illustrate the two directions in which one can choose. When we try to take hold of God's promises in our own strength, we choose spiritual slavery. When we lean on God and trust his promises, we choose spiritual freedom. What are some things we can do to buttress, or support, our resolution to walk in spiritual freedom today? Listen to Karl and Crew share their ideas, and hear all the highlights of today's program on the Karl and Crew Showcast.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

    06/06/2024 Duración: 01h02min

Today on Karl and Crew Mornings, we continued our discussion about how to tell if we are spiritually drifting. Our Scripture reference this morning was Galatians 4:16-20. Paul asked the Galatians this question: "Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?" This is our third and final sign of drifting. Have you ever been angry with a loved one for telling you something you didn't want to hear about yourself? Most of us have! It's important to remember that these loving truth-tellers are a blessing from God. We also heard some great ideas from callers about how to reach the unreached in our city. • Lost Spiritual Passion

    05/06/2024 Duración: 56min

Today on Karl and Crew Mornings, we continued our discussion about how to tell if we are spiritually drifting. What do we do when we find ourselves losing our fire and passion for spiritual freedom? Like the seed planted among the thorns in Luke 8, the cares of the world can threaten to choke out our passion for the Gospel. Our Scripture reference this morning was Galatians 4:12-15. The Galatians needed a reminder from Paul of the spiritual passion they once had. Let this be your reminder today. Finally, this is the last week to win a new Big Green Egg grill and a Moody Publishers book bundle for the special Dad in your life! • From Relationship to Ritual

    04/06/2024 Duración: 01h04min

Today on Karl and Crew Mornings, we began a discussion about how to know if we are spiritually drifting. One way to tell is by noticing when we have moved from dynamic relationship to mundane ritual in our walk with Jesus. Our Scripture reference this morning was Galatians 4:7-11. The Galatians start strong, but they begin to drift. Paul reminds them (and us) of the truth--that they are known by God and need not turn back to the old systems of life.
