Nineteen Russian drones entered Poland’s airspace overnight, and some of them were shot down by Polish and Nato aircraft, Polish PM Donald Tusk has said. It marks the first time Russian drones have been downed over the territory of a Nato country. Israel has carried out a strike in the Qatari capital, Doha, targeting the senior leadership of Hamas. They are said to have been holding a meeting to discuss the latest Gaza ceasefire proposal. It's reported that Khalil al-Hayya, the lead negotiator for Hamas, was among those targeted. President Trump has reacted furiously to an appeals court ruling that found his tariffs policy to be mostly illegal. He said if the judgement was allowed to stand it would destroy the United States. The court ruled that the president had unlawfully invoked emergency powers to justify taxes imposed on America’s trading partners. Amid the devastation in Gaza, remarkable stories of hope and resilience do emerge. Sixteen-year-old Sama Nijm, a gifted violinist from Gaza, is using music to bring comfort and healing to the youngest victims of the conflict. Some of the children have lost their parents, and in some cases, their limbs or arms. BBC Newsday's Charlene Rodrigues spoke to Sama, and began by asking her what inspired her to become a violin teacher in the midst of war.
