Happy Memorial Day and thank you to all who have served this country! Mat Smith and Kyle Reese fill in this morning after a wild weekend of playoff basketball. The Mavs are up 3-0 on the Timberwolves! Does that make us feel better or worse as Nuggets Fans? Apparently, inside the clubhouse, the Broncos believe they will be a good team this year. Is this a red flag?

Did Malone drop the ball on developing younger guys so they’d be reliable in the playoffs? Mat and Kyle morn the Pac 12 before detailing yet another drama filled situation going on up in Boulder.

The Buffs conversation continues as Mat Smith and Kyle Reese are in this morning for Stink and Mike as we celebrate Memorial Day here at The Fan. Do the guys have concern for Deion and his grasp on this program? How about the Broncos: what are their expectations this year and what would be considered “failure”?

Happy Memorial Day everyone! Mat and Kyle keep it rolling here in hour four as we return to our Nuggets debate. What do the Nuggets need to do this offseason to win another championship? Then, The Judge Mr. Dan Jacobs jumps on the mic and clarifies what’s going on in the Shilo Sanders lawsuit.

Mike and Mark are reacting to everything we heard yesterday in a day jam packed with important press conferences. We hear from Sean Payton, Michael Malone, Landeskog, Calvin Booth and Chris McFarland. Malone talks about the difficulty of repeating- Stink can attest to that. Payton speaks on starting rookie QB’s, and Mike and Mark question if the Avs should consider letting Gabe go.

Sean Payton spoke yesterday on the competition going on in the QB room right now. Is it still reasonable to assume Bo Nix will be our week 1 starter? Did Malone really run his team into the ground this season? Is burnout to blame here? Finally, after hearing from Gabe and MacFarland, is it safe to say Val will definitely be on the squad next season?

Michael Malone spoke yesterday about the difficult balance between chasing another championship and developing young players. Are he and Calvin Booth on different pages? And is Booth in the wrong for not taking advantage of a championship window? Mike and Mark debate with the listeners what the Avs should do about Val before asking: Did the Broncos actually end up with the #1 pick?

Mike and Stink come up with a ranking system for the top 6 QB out of the draft this year. Who will wind up being a super star, great starter, good and straight bust. Then, our own Cecil Lammey joins the show fresh off Broncos OTA’s in high spirits after seeing great stuff out of Bo Nix. Cecil spills the beans before Stink comes up with Bo Nix’s very own song.

It’s a huge press conference day here in Denver as Josh Kroenke, Calvin Booth and Michael Malone are set to hit the podium on the Nuggets side and for the Avs, we’ll hear from Chris MacFarland and Gabe Landeskog. What are Mike and Mark hoping to hear from them? Jokic makes first team All-NBA- does the lack of other award winners around him help or hurt his case?

Peyton Manning was honored last night and spoke after the ceremony on all things Broncos. Particularly, how important it is for rookie QB’s to start in their first year. Is his influence more reason to believe Bo Nix will be our week 1 starter? Speaking of week 1, will Courtland Sutton be around for that?

Members of the national media are coming for the Nuggets! Mad Dog, Nick wright and more. Is the media overreacting to the Nuggets second round departure, or is this just their “I told you so” moment? So many important Denver sports figures will have press conferences today. Interestingly, Gabe Landeskog will be one of them. Why? Could he be announcing a retirement?

Will Bo Nix have a better first season here with Sean Payton than Russ? He may not have better numbers, but in Stinks opinion, he'll pass the eye ball test. 

Our boy Stink is finally back in studio and boy was he gone for probably the saddest time of the year. Mike gets his reaction to the Nuggets and Avs going out the way they did. Was Val’s departure to blame for the Avs losing that series? And should the Nuggets consider trading MPJ? All that and more in hour one!

Mike and Mark expand on Mase’s article at Denversports.com on the 5 Broncos players who have the most at stake this offseason. Then, how do the guys feel about KCP being snubbed off the NBA all defensive teams? Finally, could Mike and Stink complete the 9x9x9 challenge this summer at Coors Field? 9 beers, 9 hotdogs in 9 innings.

It’s a “Tell Me Why I’m Wrong” Wednesday and one listener brings up an interesting point: Has Calvin Booth developed a sustainable and long-term plan for the Nuggets to follow and has Michael Malone ignored that? Are they on different pages? Mike and Stink debate before Mike must retract an IIJM point he awarded earlier in the show. Finally, Stink disagrees with Mikes plan for the Avs and says they should absolutely not let Val back into the locker room.

Today might be one of the worst days in 104.3 The Fan history as Stink has to send an apology text to Stephen A. Smith after the Nuggets went down in the second round. At least it's not as bad as getting made fun of for having a "dad bod" like Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes knows how to go back to back though...ouch. Mike and Mark take a spin around the rest of the sports world, updateing listeners on the latest and most relevant stories. 

It’s time to start looking ahead for the Avalanche after they fall in the second round. Which free agents do they keep and who do they say goodbye to? And what do they do about Val? Breaking news came out of Broncos Country last night: linebacker Drew Sanders has torn his Achilles and will be out of most of the season. Our 9News Broncos insider Mike Klis joins the show to walk us through what happened as well as the status of a few other pending players.
