Author, poet, and minister Michelle Carter-Douglass is a graduate of Struthers High School (1991), Mahoning County Joint Vocational School (1991), and Youngstown State University (2014). Among her accomplishments, she is the mother of, authors Patrick M. Douglass, Arlessa R. Douglass, Kailah Mychelle Douglass, and Brialan Douglass. She is a survivor of domestic abuse and homelessness.
