Sinopsis
On this episode of Behind the Pages, we ask Moses Olayemi and Fernanda Soares how they define mental health and wellbeing among teachers in El Salvador and children in South Sudan and learn how their research seeks to rigorously measure these and other psychosocial support concepts. Moses Olayemi, Melissa Tucker, Mamour Choul, Tom Purekal, Arlene Benitez, Wendy Wheaton, and Jennifer DeBoer are the authors of the research article, "Creating a Tool to Measure Children’s Wellbeing: A PSS Intervention in South Sudan," and Fernanda Soares, Nina Menezes Cunha, and Paul Frisoli coauthored the research article, "How Do We Know If Teachers Are Well? The Wellbeing Holistic Assessment for Teachers Tool," both of which were published in JEiE Vol. 7, No. 2 - Special Issue on Psychosocial Support and Social and Emotional Learning in Emergencies (December 2021). Behind the Pages is the podcast of the Journal on Education in Emergencies (JEiE). For more information about JEiE, and to read all JEiE issues free of charge, visi
