Natalie Ochmanek studies Kung fu, Qi gong, meridian repatterning and its relationship to psychology, as well as Yoga and Zen in multiple-year monestary residential programs. Natalie shares her experience with mindful movement living in an Ashram practicing daily mindfulness, yoga, and meditation. Natalie was attracted to mindfulness as a practice of "Self-Mastery" to become the person she wants to be. After being very rigorous in her Yoga practice she started practicing more "organic" movement and listening to her body. Using breath, meditation, martial arts, and spirituality she was able to calm her mind and improve the "life energy" within her. Natalie gives us an introduction to the practice of Qi Gong, a holistic system of coordinated body posture and movement, breathing, and meditation used for the purposes of health, spirituality, and martial arts training. She shares with us how listening to the body and letting it lead the way in movement can help you be more present to what is going on inside of
