The 1983 Rock Forest Massacre in which two carpet layers were mistaken for armed and dangerous criminals involved in the fatal shooting of a Brinks security guard. Quebec police believed they had tracked the men down to a motel in Rock Forest, Quebec, a small community in the Eastern Townships wedged between the city of Sherbrooke and the town of Magog.
