On Saturday, June 24 three fisherman hoping to find luck in the shallow waters of Buck Creek instead found the body of 18-year-old Carole Fecteau. Buck Creek is 32 kilometers southeast of Sherbrooke, about 5.5 kilometers from the American border and East Hereford. Fecteau was born in nearby Coaticook.
